Netflix’s new That ’90s Show trailer shows first look at old ’70s Show gang

Netflix has released a new trailer for That ’90s Show that offers the long-awaited first look at several of the original key cast members from That ’70s Show.

Yes, Topher Grace (Eric), Laura Prepon (Donna), Ashton Kutcher (Kelso), Mila Kunis (Jackie) and Wilmer Valderrama (Fez) are all back for the spin-off series. Tommy Chong also reprises his recurring role of Leo the hippie. (Danny Masterson, who played Hyde on That ’70s Show, has not returned, as he’s currently standing trial on rape charges.)

That ’90s Show follows Red and Kitty Forman (returning stars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, respectively) as they look after their granddaughter Leia (Callie Haverda) — Eric and Donna’s daughter — during the summer. The series hails from That ’70s Show creators Bonnie and Terry Turner and their daughter Lindsey, as well as That ’70s Show alum Greg Mettler.

That ’90s Show will begin streaming exclusively on Netflix on January 19th, 2023.

Here’s the first trailer for Netflix’s That ’70s Show spin-off, That ’90s Show

Pretty much everything returns in some form or another in Hollywood, and that includes That ’70s Show.

Netflix has dropped the first teaser trailer for That ’90s Show, a sequel series to the popular Fox sitcom that will premiere on January 19th, 2023.

The series follows Red and Kitty Forman (returning stars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, respectively) as they look after their granddaughter Leia (Callie Haverda) — Eric and Donna’s daughter — during the summer. That ’70s Show creators Bonnie and Terry Turner have returned to oversee the series alongside daughter Lindsey and That ’70s Show alum Greg Mettler.

And while they’re not seen in this trailer, original That ’70s Show stars Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon and Wilmer Valderrama are all set to make guest appearances. Danny Masterson is the only member of the That 70s Show cast who will not return, as he’s currently standing trial on rape charges.

It’s worth noting that That ’70s Show isn’t currently available on any Canadian streaming service.

Netflix developing ‘That ’70s Show’ spin-off called ‘That ’90s Show’

That ’70s Show is officially coming back — sort of.

Netflix has ordered a spin-off of the classic sitcom, called That ’90s Show, focused on Red and Kitty Forman. Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will reprise their roles as the Forman patriarch and matriarch, respectively.

Notably, original series creators Bonnie and Terry Turner and their daughter Lindsey will return writers and executive producers alongside That 70’s Show alum Gregg Mettler, who will also serve as showrunner.

Set in 1995, the new series follows Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, as she visits her grandparents Red and Kitty for the summer. That ’90s Show will be a multi-cam sitcom like the original series and run for 10 episodes.

It remains to be seen whether other Topher Grace or Laura Prepon, who played Eric and Donna in That ’70s Show, or any of the other original stars, will return for That ’90s Show. A release date for That ’90s Show has not yet been confirmed.

It’s also not yet clear whether That ’70s Show will come to Netflix Canada under this deal. Interestingly, the series isn’t on any streaming service in Canada.

Hopefully, it ends up being better than That ’80s Show.

Mila Kunis and Ashton to wed in the UK?

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher reportedly want to marry in the UK.

The couple have been staying in London while Mila shoots ‘Jupiter Ascending’ and have reportedly become so besotted with England they want to tie the knot there once Ashton’s divorce from ex-wife Demi Moore is finalized.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Mila and Ashton have fallen in love with the UK. They are desperate to get married as soon as possible because they want to start a family and are slightly old-fashioned about these things.

"The first place they thought of was Stonehenge, but they’ve also been looking at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton. Mila loves the idea of a stately home or something in the English countryside."

Despite considering lavish venues for the big day, Mila, 29, and Ashton, 35, want the ceremony itself to be "low-key" with only a few select guests witnessing the nuptials.

The source added: "Although the venue may be spectacular, the wedding itself will be low-key. It’s expected it will be just Ashton, Mila and a few family friends."

Although the couple are yet to announce their engagement, things have progressed between them over the past few weeks as Mila introduced Ashton to her parents, Elvira and Mark, when they came to visit her in the UK at the end of May.
