Despite her girls’ night out last weekend, Simpson seems to be having a rough time getting used to her new bachelorette status following her split with Romo, reports People.

A close source to Simpson revealed, "She takes breakups really badly. She has a hard time letting go."

The same source admitted that the breakup being in the prime spotlight doesn’t help matters. "She feels she’s being judged by the world and opts to hide out at home. The family feels bad for Jessica. They worry for her a lot."

Several days after ending his relationship with Jessica Simpson, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo was spotted cruising the casinos in Lake Tahoe in California, reports People.

Romo was in town for the American Century Championship golf tournament held at Edgewood Tahoe golf course. After he enjoyed a round of golf, he decided to try his hand at poker, roulette and blackjack. Unfortunately, he returned very late with a group of friends, without having much luck.

Earlier this week, Romo enjoyed a boys weekend in Los Angeles, where his pals made their best efforts to cheer him up. 

Jessica Simpson is single again. People reports that Tony Romo ended the relationship on Thursday (July 9), one day before her 29th birthday.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback fuelled rumours of a breakup on Friday (July 10), when he was seen partying with 14 of his friends at the Hollywood nightspot MyHouse instead of celebrating Simpson’s birthday.

"She is heartbroken. She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways," a source said.

The singer had planned a birthday party with a Barbie and Ken theme. On Twitter, Simpson wrote that the Barbie party did not take place, but that she was very happy to celebrate another year.

According to FemaleFirst, Simpson is afraid that her boyfriend, Tony Romo, will never propose.

"I know Tony loves me, but I don’t know if he’ll ever propose," Simpson admitted to a friend.

The singer and actress had hoped that Romo would propose to her on Valentine’s Day, but it wasn’t the case.  The source added, "Jessica was really hoping she was going to get an engagement ring. She wanted one for Christmas, then she thought maybe New Year’s Eve. Her last hope was that Tony would propose on Valentine’s Day – but he didn’t."

Simpson would love to have a life like her sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who is married and the mother of a baby boy.  She is hoping that she and Romo will be married and start a family one day.

According to Star magazine, football player Tony Romo took advantage of the fact that Jessica Simpson was away, and brought another woman into the house he shares with Simpson.

A source told the magazine that Romo had a party in the house, but he was locked in his room with a mysterious brunette while the party rolled on.

"Everyone was talking about it downstairs. The girls were saying it was so wrong and shady of Tony to cheat on Jessica – especially in her place! I just can’t believe he would hook up with another woman at his own girlfriend’s house," revealed the source.

Simpson and Romo have been dating since November 2007.  Neither party has commented on the story in the magazine.

Simpson and Romo began dating in November 2007, and broke up briefly in May 2008.

According to People, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback collapsed in the shower after a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. 

The cause of his collapse stemmed from rib injuries inflicted towards the end of the game.

The medical team arrived with a stretcher and helped him to his feet, but Romo was still able to walk to the training room.

Romo, 28, told the media, "Um, you know, I was just a little banged up, I guess."

A source revealed that his girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, rushed to his side as soon as she heard the news.
