It’s Over for Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo

Although the Dallas Cowboys star escorted Simpson to her sister’s weekend wedding, rumours are suggesting that his relationship with the 27-year-old singer is over.

A source told E!Online, "Tony took her to the wedding to be a nice guy. But at this point, he just wants to back out gracefully."

Jessica’s younger sister, Ashlee, married Pete Wentz last weekend.  Following the ceremony, the family went to Cabo San Lucas, but Romo refused to join them.

Insiders are claiming that Romo has grown tired of interference from Simpson’s father/manager, Joe Simpson.  A source added, "I almost think it’s not so much that he’s tired of Jessica’s attention. He’s tired of Joe. He’s always giving Tony career advice."

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Tie the Knot

Spokespeople for Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz confirmed Saturday (May 17) that the couple married during an intimate ceremony, reports People.

The reps stated, "We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends."

Simpson, 23, and Wentz, 28, exchanged their vows in front of 150 guests who gathered at Ashlee’s parents’ home in Los Angeles.

Jessica Simpson served as the maid of honour and was accompanied by football player, Tony Romo.

Reasons Behind Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson’s Breakup

According to a report by PerezHilton.com, a very close source to Tony Romo revealed that the football star broke up with Jessica Simpson for two reasons.

The first reason for breaking up was because of the media frenzy, inevitable when involved with Simpson, and the second concerned the numerous disagreements between the athlete and the singer’s father, Joe Simpson.

The source explained that in addition to dictating the conduct with his daughter, Joe Simpson was also trying to advise Romo in his career, and meddled in things that had nothing to do with their love life.

The couple will definitely be moving on.  According to the same source, however, Romo is still invited to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s wedding this weekend.

UsMagazine.com revealed images of Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend, Tony Romo, that showed him quite close to a mysterious blonde at the Manor Club in Chicago last weekend.
 
PerezHilton.com reported that the 28-year-old football player was hanging out at Hooters with his friends and a group of women.  One of these women was the mysterious blonde. 
 
In the latest edition of Us Weekly, Romo reportedly announced to his friends, "We are broken up."
 
Sources stated that while Romo was cozying up to his new lady friend, Simpson, 27, was with her friends at Mexicali Cocina Cantina in Los Angeles.

Underwood, who has dated some male celebrities including football star Tony Romo, and actor of the Gossip Girl series, Chace Crawford, has admitted to have had her heart broken as a result of infidelity, reported People.

The singer revealed in the May issue of In Style magazine, "I’ve been cheated on a time or two. It’s tough."

The season 4 American Idol winner added, "Now I’m to the point where you get one shot. Life’s too short. I’m a ‘let it go, move on’ kind of person."

She has also expressed how ice cream gets her through tough times. She said, ‘’If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened."

FemaleFirst reported that Simpson is asking her boyfriend, football player Tony Romo, for advice on wardrobe and makeup.

Although he does appreciate Simpson’s glamorous look, the football player admits that he prefers her when she is casual.

According to FemaleFirst, the singer’s mother Tina says that her 27-year-old daughter secretly married football star Tony Romo.
 
When asked if Jessica plans on marrying Romo, her mother replied laughingly,
"Jessica is already married to Tony! What are you talking about?"
 
Simpson, who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, replied, "Well I guess if my mom said it, it must be true!"
 
Earlier this year, Romo confirmed that he plans on marrying Simpson but did not have a date set. "I’m sure I’ll get married one day. I don’t know when though," Romo stated.

The quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys seems amused that the latest rumour is that he and Simpson are engaged. "I mean, it’s just rumors. That’s what people say," said Romo.

The athlete doesn’t rule out the possibility of marriage, but he doesn’t know when he’ll make the leap.  He explained, "I’m sure I’ll get married one day. I don’t know when."

Romo, 27, spoke about his romance at an event organised by Cosmopolitan magazine, where he was named the Fun Fearless Male of the Year.  Romo joked, "I guess you date Jessica Simpson, that makes you fearless!"

Jessica Simpson Goes After OK! Magazine

Simpson’s attorneys have filed a lawsuit against the tabloid.  According to the 27-year-old star, the magazine has created a "smear campaign" and reported that she’s been dumped by her football player boyfriend, Tony Romo.

Lawyers for Simpson say that the article "is based on nothing more than rumor, gossip and innuendo."

Sarah Ivens, the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, has received a letter from Simpson’s legal team, asking for a full retraction, and stated that the singer and Tony Romo are still a couple.
