Celebrity sightings in Muskoka

Move over Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel. A new Hollywood elite has entered Ontario’s cottage country.

This past weekend actor Mark Wahlberg, soccer star David Beckham, and former Toronto Maple Leaf Tie Domi were lounging lakeside in Muskoka—or MUSKOKAAA as Wahlberg pronounces it, singing the region’s name in a video posted to Domi’s Instagram as the group sped along in a speedboat at night.

What the group was doing there, or, better yet, how this motley crew became acquainted, is up for debate. Domi lives in Toronto. It’s possible the former Leaf was introducing his L.A.-based pals to the wonders of Canadian wilderness.

What we can tell you is that the group enjoyed themselves. Beckham summed the trip up in an Instagram post: “Great few days in Muskoka with family and friends. Wow what a place and yes we laughed a lot and drank a little,” he wrote.

The three celebs were joined by Canadian billionaire Jamie Salter, who owns Authentic Brands Group, and Rande Gerber, an American businessman married to model Cindy Crawford.

But the weekend wasn’t all “boys time”. It appears that Beckham’s trip was a family vacation. His wife, Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, and their kids tagged along. Beckham posted a photo of his son Cruz riding a wake surf like a natural.

Marky Mark, on the other hand, seems to have tied some brand development into his northern foray. He posted a video of himself heading to an F45 studio in Collingwood. Wahlberg owns a major stake in the fitness company and has been travelling to different studios across the U.S. and Canada to promote it.

“We found F45 in Muskoka,” he says in the video. We’re a fan of Wahlberg’s, so we’ll let it slide that Collingwood isn’t actually in Muskoka.

While there’s no word on any members of the celeb group placing Muskoka real estate offers, considering the smiles on their faces, we wouldn’t be surprised if Ontario’s cottage country plays host to Wahlberg, Beckham, and Domi again soon.

Spice Girls to launch exhibition

The Spice Girls are set to the be the subjects of their very own exhibition in London this summer.

The iconic band – comprised of Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner, and Emma Bunton – are highly regarded as the biggest girl group of all time, and in celebration of their successful career, a special exhibition is being held in the Business Design Centre in Angel Islington, London from July 28 – August 20.

The showcase – which has been dubbed as ‘#SpiceUpLondon – The Spice Girls Exhibition’ – will feature thousands of items of memorabilia, alongside hundreds of the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers’ iconic stage costumes, some of which have not been publicly displayed since they were first worn by the Spice Girls in the 90’s.

Other interesting items to be shown at the exhibition include merchandise from around the globe, which ranges from the rare and unseen to the peculiar and unusual.

Alan Smith-Allison, the event organiser and curator said: "I have joined together with other Spice Girls collectors and designers from around the world, including the Guinness World Record holder, Liz West. It’s been amazing to be able to share this passion with others, but above all it has allowed me to create this collection of iconic Spice Girls history. #SpiceUpLondon has been a long time in the making, but it has grown beyond even my hopes for it. The interest in the exhibition has been massive and I can’t wait to show off what we are achieving. The London exhibition looks set to be the biggest music exhibition ever and it continues to grow with new events and exhibits being added every day."

On top of the memorabilia shown at the exhibition, organisers are also hoping to proudly display the iconic Spice Bus which appeared in the smash hit 1999 Spice Girls blockbuster – ‘Spice World: The Movie’ – as a landmark outside the entrance to the exhibit.

After the movie wrapped filming, the bus endured years of neglect, and current owners of the bus are now undertaking restoration work to restore the bus to its former glory.

Fans can become a part of the historic restoration by donating to the #RefurbTheBus campaign, which will see them have their name adorned on a plaque within the Spice Bus.

Tickets for ‘#SpiceUpLondon – The Spice Girls Exhibition’ are on sale now and cost £10 each.

Mel B’s daughter excited for Spice Girls reunion

Mel B’s daughter is "really excited" about the Spice Girls reunion.

The 42-year-old star recently reconnected with Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel C and Victoria Beckham to work on unspecified new projects and though they haven’t announced their plans yet, 19-year-old Phoenix – Mel’s eldest child, who she has with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar – knows whatever they do will be "fun".

She said: "I’m really excited, it’s going to be fun. I’m excited for anything that’s going to happen."

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge was joined at the Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles by all her children, Phoenix, 10-year-old Angel – whose father is Eddie Murphy, and six-year-old Madison, who she has with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, and the producer’s daughter Giselle Belafonte, 14.

And the youngsters had nothing but nice things to say about the ‘Mama’ singer, with Giselle describing her as the "funniest person" she knows, and Phoenix simply saying her mom is "cool".

Madison said: "She’s beautiful! And nice."

Angel added: "She’s always there for you if you have a problem."

Meanwhile, Mel confirmed the Spice Girls are "all back together", but stayed tight-lipped on reports they are working on an animated superhero film about girl power.

She teased to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "I don’t want to confirm that, but there’s a lot going on."

And though she recently hinted she and her bandmates are to perform at Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in May, she refused to be drawn on the subject.

Asked if she’s going to the celebration, she said: "I can’t answer that."

She then swiftly changed the subject when asked if she’d seen the news invitations had been sent out.

While Mel recently hinted the group will be performing at the wedding, her bandmate Mel C later insisted her friend had just been joking.

Mel B vows to spice up Spice Girls dance routines

Mel B has vowed to spice up the Spice Girls old dance routines should the girls go on tour.

The 42-year-old star – known as Scary Spice in the 90s girl group – was in charge of most of the choreography for her bandmates, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Horner back in their heyday and she says they’ll have no problem learning the iconic moves again.

Mel is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "I mean, I choreographed them, or most of the Spice Girls moves, and they were very basic. It should not be hard to do some of the routines."

All five of the ‘Viva Forever’ hitmakers sparked excitement amongst fans when all five members got together at Geri’s house in north London at the start of February to talk about working together in the future, and Mel says it was just like the old days.

She said: "Well, we are friends at the end of the day. We have tea and hang out and we talk about stuff. We are all parents now, and for us five to be able to say that we can sell out arenas and concerts, that is a good feeling. We are still exactly the same."

Despite Mel B talking about potentially jazzing up their old routines, Mel C recently admitted they are yet to start "talking about new music or going out on the road together"..

Fans hoping for an imminent announcement about reunion tour dates will have to wait a bit longer as Sporty Spice insists discussions haven’t got that far.

The ‘When You’re Gone’ recently said: "It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time."

James Corden wants Spice Girls on Carpool Karaoke

James Corden wants the Spice Girls on ‘Carpool Karaoke’.

The 39-year-old star appeared on Heart Breakfast with Emma Bunton – who was known as Baby Spice in the band – on Thursday morning (15.03.18) and used the opportunity to give her a nudge with regards to getting the ‘Spice Up Your Life’ hitmakers on his popular musical segment on his ‘Late Late Show’.

When presenter Jamie Theakston asked: "Could we get the Spice Girls in the back of the car? I mean, that’s the elephant in the room, right?", James replied: "Well, here’s the truth of it…

Emma said: "Oh, what’s that?

Corden continued: "I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want …

I wanna go in that car and remind the world – the entire planet – of how unbelievable those songs are."

A flattered Emma said: "Awww!"

Corden said: "And, I mean it would break the internet, wouldn’t it? It really would."

Emma agreed, saying: "It would be special"

Jamie then asked: "So it’s fair to say the offer, the invitation has been made?"

Prompting Corden to reply: "Oh, it’s open! It’s an open door!"

Emma was keen with the idea and asked her fellow bandmates, Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Geri Horner, to get on board.

She said: "Aww, it’s open, thanks James. Right, girls! Come on!"

However, James reminded Emma that it wasn’t the first time he’s asked their manager, Simon Fuller, to persuade them to come on his show.

He said: "This is not the first time that this has come up! There’s been endless phone calls that have already been made."

Emma, 42, admitted: "There’s been a few!"

All five of the Spice Girls reunited last month for lunch at Geri’s house in north London, sending fans into overdrive that they are making a comeback, and James says he got on the phone to Simon straight away after seeing a picture of their meeting on social media.

He said: "I think I got in touch with Simon Fuller about four and a half minutes after that Instagram photo."

However, Emma recently downplayed rumours they are going to go on tour, saying they were simply "catching up".

The likes of Will Smith, Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran have all sat in James’ Range Rover for a sing-a-long, but James recently admitted to BANG Showbiz that his ultimate guest would be Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, saying: "He would be amazing."

Mel B wants to show her children she’s a popstar

Mel B wants to prove to her children that she is a legitimate popstar.

The 42-year-old singer was part of one of the biggest girl bands in music history, and recently the Spice Girls sparked excitement amongst fans when all five members – Mel, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Mel C and Emma Bunton – got together at Geri’s house at the start of February to talk about working together again

And Mel, aka Scary Spice, joked that she wants the girl group to reform so she can prove to her three children – Phoenix, 19, Angel, 10, and Madison, six – that she is a legitimate popstar.

In an interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Mel turned to her 19-year-old daughter and said: "You were a tiny baby when we went on tour, and Angel kind of missed out on that.

"My 10 year old, my six year old are like, ‘Are you really a Spice Girl? Is that really you?’

"Because I’ve got some pictures up of me holding [Phoenix] in the recording studio."

Mel also confirmed the group has confirmed the girl group has signed a contract with their original former manager Simon Fuller, and following her recent tease they will be performing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding this May, the singer revealed they are "doing stuff" this year.

She said: "We signed to Simon Fuller, the original Spice Girl manager… we signed to him a few months ago.

"We will be doing stuff this year together, yes."

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge previously claimed she and her bandmates have been invited to the royal wedding this year, but Mel C insisted last week her pal was joking.

The girl group reunited with Simon back in February – the first time all five members have been together since 2012 – before announcing they were reforming after saying it was the right time to "explore some incredible new opportunities together".

In a statement, the ‘Spice Up Your Life’ hitmakers said: "We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together.

"We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls.

"The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

However, they have yet to announce what they are planning to do together.

Mel C says there’s been no talk of Spice Girls tour

Mel C says the Spice Girls are yet to start "talking about new music or going out on the road together".

The ‘2 Become 1’ hitmakers sparked excitement amongst fans when all five members – Mel, Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton – got together at Geri’s house at the start of February to talk about working together in the future.

However, any fans hoping for an imminent announcement about reunion tour dates will have to wait a bit longer as Mel C insists discussions haven’t got that far.

Speaking at The Prince’s Trust Awards, held at the London Palladium on Tuesday (03.06.18), the ‘When You’re Gone’ singer told The Sun newspaper: "It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time."

And Mel C, 44, insisted if any concerts are to take place then all five original members need to be involved.

She added: "I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky … Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time."

Mel C’s comments come after the band’s manager Simon Fuller hinted that 43-year-old Victoria – who is busy running her fashion label – is not keen on touring at this moment in time.

When asked by TMZ if Victoria has "signed off" for a tour, Fuller replied on film: "It may be four, not five."

And Victoria – who is married to David Beckham – has herself been vocal that she isn’t particularly enthralled about stepping on stage again to sing The Spice Girls’ greatest hits.

The star – who used to be better known as Posh Spice – said: "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour. It was so great to see the girls … There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But this [fashion] is what I do."

Victoria Beckham pulls out of Spice Girls reunion

Victoria Beckham has reportedly pulled out of the Spice Girls reunion.

The ‘2 Become 1’ hitmakers were thought to have put pen to paper for a number of reunion shows this year after confirming they were back together to work on unspecified projects, but it looks like their plans have been thrown into jeopardy as the 43-year-old fashion designer has been "quite vocal" about not wanting to reunite.

Mel C told The Sun newspaper: "Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time."

And the 44-year-old singer has ruled out the possibility that she, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner may tour as a foursome because it has to be "all five."

She explained: "I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky. It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time."

And, even if they do reform, Mel doesn’t think they’ll be doing any shows this year.

When quizzed on rumours the Spice Girls would be taking to the stage at London Pride, she said: "That would be a very fitting place for the Spice Girls to reform but unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year."

It comes after the band’s manager Simon Fuller hinted that Victoria was not on board.

When asked if Victoria has "signed off" for a tour, he replied: "It may be four, not five."

Sources recently claimed the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers will perform a "limited number" of shows, but will make a huge amount of money from a new range of merchandise.

But Victoria has recently insisted she will not tour with the group.

She said: "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour. It was so great to see the girls… There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But this [fashion] is what I do."

Spice Girls manager hints Victoria Beckham won’t join reunion shows

Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller has hinted Victoria Beckham may not join their reunion shows.

The 57-year-old music mogul has dropped the biggest hint yet that the 43-year-old fashion designer might not be alongside Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C for their comeback concerts.

When asked by TMZ if Victoria has "signed off" for a tour, he replied: "It may be four, not five."

Simon also admitted he is "not sure" whether the ‘Wannabe’ hitmakers will perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May, despite Mel B appearing to confirm they will be earlier this week.

He said: "I don’t know about that, I’m not sure about that one. I’m not sure that will happen.

"Maybe she knows something I don’t."

Mel confirmed she will be attending the royal wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on May 19, and revealed her fellow singers will also be alongside her at the star-studded event.

She said: "I’m going. I don’t know if I should’ve said that.

"Us five Spice Girls did [get an invitation]. Why am I so honest?"

It comes after the quintet were said to have put pen to paper on contracts for a number of reunion shows after confirming they were back together to work on unspecified projects.

Mel B is said to have signed the contract last month, and documents are said to show specific details for UK and US concerts, including the number and location of shows, and compensation details.

Sources recently claimed the ‘2 Become 1’ hitmakers will perform a "limited number" of shows, but will make a huge amount of money from a new range of merchandise.

But Victoria has recently insisted she will not tour with the group.

She said: "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour. It was so great to see the girls…

"There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming. But this [fashion] is what I do."

Spice Girls want to sing the Bond theme tune

The Spice Girls are reportedly desperate to sing the next James Bond theme song.

The iconic British girl group have recently agreed to reunite ahead of a potentially lucrative tour, but their ultimate ambition is to perform the theme tune to the next 007 movie, which will see Daniel Craig reprise the role of the British secret agent.

A source said: "It’s crazy that the biggest British girl group of all time hasn’t sung the theme song to the biggest British spy franchise ever."

Fellow Brits Adele and Sam Smith have both won Academy Awards for their Bond tracks ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, respectively.

And while they’ve both held discussions about penning the single for the upcoming movie, the girl group – which features Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell – are considered to be the favourites.

The insider told the National Enquirer magazine: "Adele and Sam Smith are in talks about returning, but the Spice Girls look like they’ve got this one in the bag."

The speculation comes shortly after it was revealed that the bandmates had signed contracts for a number of reunion shows.

Previously, the quintet confirmed they were back together to work on unspecified projects, and though Victoria insisted they are not going out on tour, the girls have apparently signed legal documents to perform live again.

The documents give specific details for UK and US concerts, including the number and location of shows, and compensation details.

Sources said that the ‘Stop’ hitmakers will perform a "limited number" of shows during the proposed tour – but it was added that the band are set to make a huge amount of money from a new range of merchandise.
