Rita Ora attends Franca Sozzani’s memorial service

Rita Ora paid her respects to the late Franca Sozzani during her memorial service.

The 26-year-old singer took to Instagram on Monday (27.02.17) to share a black and white snap of herself at the service for the former editor-in-chief of fashion magazine Vogue Italia – who passed away in December 2016 at the age of 66 – which was held at Florence Cathedral.

Rita captioned the snap: "Honouring Franca Sozzani and her legacy today in Milan."

Also in attendance were the likes of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, and fashion designers Donatella Versace and Giorgio Armani.

Naomi, 46, shared her own picture of the late star on her Instagram account, and wrote: "#salutetoFranca this was your day !! You will always be in my heart and Mind Sleep with Angels (sic)"

According to a post made on Vogue’s website, the service provided at Florence Cathedral was a "Catholic religious service" which offered no "personal eulogies."

The article reads: "This was very much a Catholic religious service, and no personal eulogies were offered. Instead, Sozzani’s son, Francesco Carrozzini, gave a reading–as did her niece and longtime close colleague at Italian Vogue Sara Maino.

"Among the congregation who heard them were far, far too many fashion notables to list in full, but just some included Giorgio Armani, Valentino Garavani, Sidney Toledano, Jonathan Newhouse, Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Pierpaolo Piccoli, Christopher Bailey, and Sarah Burton.

"Maino’s reading, taken from the Book of Qoheleth, was particularly affecting. It included these lines: ‘No one can say/ That eyes have not had enough of seeing,/ Ears their fill of hearing./ What was, will be again,/ What has been done, will be done again,/ And there is nothing new under the sun.’"

David Beckham smashes his tooth on ski trip

David Beckham broke his tooth during the family ski trip.

The 41-year-old former England football captain was reportedly rushed to an emergency dental centre following his trip to Whistler, Canada, after he smashed his incisor in a snowboarding accident and urgently needed to get a replacement fixed on his return home to London.

However, David – who has children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and five-year-old daughter Harper with his wife Victoria Beckham – was a "trooper" and made "no fuss" about the issue.

Speaking about the sporting hunk’s accident to The Sun Online, a source said: "David is a trooper and didn’t make a fuss. He took it all in his stride.

‘There’s no need to panic now that he’s lost the good looks that landed him a fortune. But it was a worrying time."

But prior to the fall David had admitted how in love he was with the scenery and the sport, which marked his first time on the board.

Alongside a picture of him wearing a protective helmet whilst on the slopes on his Instagram account, he wrote: "Don’t usually post so many but it’s so beautiful up here plus having a special time so before anyone else sells pictures of the family I wanted you guys to see them first. Btw my first time ever boarding or even on the slopes (sic)."

However, David wasn’t the only one to be in the wars on their winter sports break as his oldest child broke his collarbone whilst on the same trip.

The budding photographer took to social media to show his skills in the snow, but admitted it was after he completed the tricks in the footage the accident took place.

He captioned the clip: "Broke my collarbone at the end (sic)."

And he followed the post with a picture of his X-ray to prove the injury.

However, Brooklyn is not letting it bother him and is openly sharing pictures of him with his arm encased in a sling on the photo-sharing site.

Alongside a picture of him in a mirrored bathroom, which has been edited with a black and white filter, he wrote: "Reflection (sic)."

Brooklyn Beckham injured his arm during skiing holiday

Brooklyn Beckham has injured his arm whilst on a ski break in Canada.

The 17-year-old budding photographer – the son of retired soccer star David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – was spotted with his arm in a sling after suffering a fall during a holiday with his family in Whistler, Canada.

Brooklyn was enjoying the break at the picturesque ski resort with his parents and his three siblings, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five.

As of the time of writing, it is unclear how serious Brooklyn’s injury is, but the teenager will no longer be able to hit the slopes with his family during the remainder of their vacation.

Previously, the family of six took to warmer climates in December when they enjoyed a family holiday in the Maldives, where the aspiring photographer is believed to have met up with his former girlfriend Sonia Ben Ammar, whom he followed on Instagram during his visit to the sunny island.

It’s not known if the pair have bumped into each other while lapping up the sun in the tropical country but they have both posted photographs on their social media sites seemingly taken in the same vicinity on the idyllic island.

Shortly after Brooklyn re-followed the model on the photo-sharing site, he reportedly liked a shot she had uploaded of her sporting a mesh bikini in the sea.

Holidaying in the Maldives has no doubt brought back fond memories for the young pair – who dated for five months – as they first met while there in 2014.

And, although their romance was short lived, Sonia, 17 – who is the daughter of Tunisian producer and director Tarak Ben Ammar – seemingly made a good impression on Brooklyn’s family as they were reportedly "happy" about their love.

Victoria Beckham has to wear makeup every day

Victoria Beckham doesn’t feel she can face the day unless she has makeup on.

The 42-year-old fashion designer has to put a bit of slap on her face on in the mornings to feel put together because being a busy, in-demand working mother to four children, sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper, whom she has with her husband David Beckham, means she needs a bit of help to look her best.

Speaking to the Vogue website, she said: "I have no shame in admitting that I love makeup! I’m a total beauty junkie, and always have been. I was constantly rifling through my mum’s makeup bag when I was little, and I loved nothing better than watching her getting ready to go out – putting her lipstick and eyeliner on. I like to celebrate being a woman – and for me, makeup is just a part of that. You know, I’m not a supermodel – I’m a working mother of four children – and sometimes I need a little bit of help from my makeup bag to make me feel ready to take on the world in the morning!"

Although looking after her kids has had an effect on her under eye bags, the former Spice Girls singer feels incredibly lucky to have children who are so well behaved.

She said recently: "You don’t have a rule book when you have a child. You just do the best that you can and I think the kids are doing a good job. They’re well-mannered, hard-working, they’re fun and they’re happy kids. So what more can you ask for?"

However, Victoria and her spouse David do have some strict guidelines in place for their children – especially when it comes to dating.

David, 41, said previously: "Obviously Brooklyn is definitely at that age. You know, he’s 16, he’s definitely at that age. We’re strong parents, and strict parents, but we’re like most parents. We love our kids and we want the best for them, so we’ll see."

David Beckham pays £22,000 in tax every day.

The 41-year-old retired soccer star paid as much as £153,000-a-week to the UK government on the earnings he accrued through Beckham Brand Holdings Ltd, the investment vehicle which looks after David’s image rights and his wife Victoria’s fashion sales.

The global firm raked in an eye-watering £47 million in 2015, according to the latest figures sent to Companies House, which also revealed Beckham Brand Holdings Ltd made £31 million in profit, thereby leaving the celebrity duo with an £8 million tax bill.

The accounts show the Beckhams paid themselves £11 million each from their company over a two-year period, despite Victoria’s fashion label making sizeable losses.

The ex-Spice Girl suffered a £4.6 million financial hit in 2015 and her company has debts totalling £21 million, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.

On the other hand, David’s earnings were swelled by his lucrative advertising advertising agreements with the likes of Breitling watches and Haig Club whisky.

As a result, the former England soccer captain – who retired from the sport in 2013 – saw him business earn almost £37 million in 2015.

The couple have been living in a £45 million house in Holland Park, London, since 2014, but David recently revealed that he and Victoria used to spend their dates together in pub car parks.

The duo tried to keep their relationship quiet during their first few months of dating in 1997.

David shared: "We used to sit in a Harvester car park and we just used to … we just used to kiss, of course, and spend time together."

David – who has children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five, with Victoria – married the former pop star in Ireland in 1999 after two years of dating.

David and Victoria Beckham spent dates in pub car parks

David and Victoria Beckham used to spend their dates together in pub car parks.

The 41-year-old former soccer star and the 42-year-old fashion designer tried to keep their relationship quiet during their first few months of dating in the 90s, and David has admitted they even resorted to sneaking off to pub car parks in order to spend time together.

David shared: "We used to sit in a Harvester car park and we just used to … we just used to kiss, of course, and spend time together."

David and Victoria tied the knot in 1999 and were due to have Sir Elton John appear at their lavish wedding, but the legendary singer was forced to pull out at the last minute due to healthy problems.

Despite this, Sir Elton did later perform at the christening of their children.

David – who shares children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five, with his wife – admitted he is particularly fond of Sir Elton’s hit ‘Something About The Way You Look Tonight’ and said he considers the 69-year-old star to be a good friend.

He told BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’: "We became friends with Elton, and he was coming to the wedding to perform this song.

"We had a phone call that morning to say unfortunately Elton was on the plane and had a heart attack.

"Obviously we were more worried about his health and how he was but we christened the kids a couple of years after that, and he came and performed this song in our house, and it’s a very special song for us."

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that David and Victoria raked in a £22 million bonus from their business empire.

The duo earned the staggering amount from profits at their business firm Beckham Brand Holdings after accounts showed annual profits for the company have quadrupled from £10 million to just under £40 million.

Beckham Brand Holdings oversees the fashion firm run by the former Spice Girl as well as DB Ventures, which brings in money from "licensing and other forms of commercialisation of the David Beckham brand".

Mel C open to Spice Girls reunion

Mel C hasn’t ruled out reuniting with the Spice Girls.

The ‘Northern Star’ hitmaker and her former bandmate Victoria Beckham opted out of a proposed plan for a tour to mark the group’s 20th anniversary last year but she insists that doesn’t mean she’ll never perform with the fashion designer, Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton ever again.

Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: "Maybe we will reunite again. I know there’s been so much speculation with the 20th anniversary that just went by. In fact there has been speculation ever since Geri left the group in 1998.

"It would have been the perfect opportunity to do it but it didn’t work out. Everyone is doing things and on different paths. We never say never."

"All of us say maybe at some point something will happen."

Mel and Victoria staged a mini-reunion of their own on New Year’s Eve (12.31.16) as they performed ‘2 Become 1’ together at five-star luxury resort Amilla Fushi in the Maldives.

And the 43-year-old singer admitted it was "amazing" to be on stage with her pal – who was holidaying there with her husband David Beckham and kids Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper – again.

She said: "It was amazing. I was asked to do a performance at a great resort in the Maldives and it just so happened to be where Victoria and some of my friends were holidaying.

"I told her I was doing ‘2 Become 1’ in the set and I joked that I had to get her up with me. And she said, ‘Yeah, of course’."

"Before I started the song, I said this is your last chance and next thing I knew she was sashaying across the dance floor and she got up there with me. It was great fun."

Victoria Beckham blocks Spice Girls reunion

Victoria Beckham has shut down plans for a Spice Girls reunion tour after stopping the girls from performing their old songs.

The 42-year-old fashion designer has reportedly called on her lawyers to block her bandmates – Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner – from performing the group’s classic tracks.

A source said: "The girls are devastated. It is an extremely sad way for things to end … Victoria was a huge part of their lives and now she is using lawyers to block their comeback.

"Victoria is proud of her Spice Girls history but this suggests she wants to cut all links with the group which transformed her life. She is resorting to aggressive legal letters and it is an extremely sad way for things to end after all they have been through together."

And Victoria – who has sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 11, and daughter Harper, five, with her husband David Beckham – was said to be "concerned" that the group’s legacy could be "damaged" by any new music.

A source added to The Sun newspaper: "It became a concern that if the remaining members started mixing classic hits with new songs that were not up to much it would damage their legacy.

"Victoria takes herself very seriously now and didn’t want to have an association with this project which she felt she would if they sang the classic songs and marketed themselves as the Spice Girls.

"She got lawyers involved as she has a writing credit on the hits and co-owns the companies which control the band’s legacy and finances."

It comes after it was claimed the group – which also includes Mel C – had changed their plans because Geri, who is pregnant with her second child, wants to focus on her family.

An insider shared: "Geri’s priorities have changed. Her baby is due later this year and rather than force a reunion, she’s needs to concentrate on more personal matters.

"Getting all the girls in the studio at the same time proved a tough task. What they needed was one main boss-style figure to pull the strings otherwise they would be constantly in limbo."

David and Victoria Beckham buy £5M country mansion

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly moving to a £5 million country house.

The 41-year-old retired soccer star and his 42-year-old fashion designer wife – who share four children together, Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper – have reportedly decided to move out of their home in London’s Holland Park in exchange for the lavish property in the Cotswolds in south England, near the exclusive Soho Farmhouse.

Boasting a whopping nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, the Beckhams’ new pad comes with a triple garage, two large courtyards, and an apple orchard as part of the surrounding two acres of land.

The property – which has its own croquet lawn – is made up of three barns, each joined together by connecting buildings.

According to a source, the converted barn was previously "rundown", but recently underwent a £2 million restoration project to bring it up to the high standards of potential buyers.

The source told The Sun newspaper: "It was a rundown building but it’s been done up. There’s a rumour Becks is taking it.

"The Beckhams are the talk of Soho Farmhouse."

Soho Farmhouse is a five-star hotel and club which has hosted the likes of Prince Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle, whilst stars such as Rita Ora have performed within its walls.

For the Beckham family, the move comes three years after they moved out of their £24 million luxury home in California in 2014, after David retired from his sporting profession.

And whilst the flashy new home does come with a hefty price tag, it won’t be a problem for the famous family as it was previously revealed that David raked in an impressive £71,000 a day last year.

A source said at the time: "There is no stopping Brand Beckham. Even though he has long retired from football David’s empire keeps on growing. He is a savvy businessman and surrounds himself with like-minded people. The latest figures are staggering but it’s no real surprise."
