David and Victoria Beckham buy £5M country mansion

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly moving to a £5 million country house.

The 41-year-old retired soccer star and his 42-year-old fashion designer wife – who share four children together, Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper – have reportedly decided to move out of their home in London’s Holland Park in exchange for the lavish property in the Cotswolds in south England, near the exclusive Soho Farmhouse.

Boasting a whopping nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, the Beckhams’ new pad comes with a triple garage, two large courtyards, and an apple orchard as part of the surrounding two acres of land.

The property – which has its own croquet lawn – is made up of three barns, each joined together by connecting buildings.

According to a source, the converted barn was previously "rundown", but recently underwent a £2 million restoration project to bring it up to the high standards of potential buyers.

The source told The Sun newspaper: "It was a rundown building but it’s been done up. There’s a rumour Becks is taking it.

"The Beckhams are the talk of Soho Farmhouse."

Soho Farmhouse is a five-star hotel and club which has hosted the likes of Prince Harry and his girlfriend Meghan Markle, whilst stars such as Rita Ora have performed within its walls.

For the Beckham family, the move comes three years after they moved out of their £24 million luxury home in California in 2014, after David retired from his sporting profession.

And whilst the flashy new home does come with a hefty price tag, it won’t be a problem for the famous family as it was previously revealed that David raked in an impressive £71,000 a day last year.

A source said at the time: "There is no stopping Brand Beckham. Even though he has long retired from football David’s empire keeps on growing. He is a savvy businessman and surrounds himself with like-minded people. The latest figures are staggering but it’s no real surprise."

Brooklyn Beckham back in touch with ex

Brooklyn Beckham is back in touch with his ex-girlfriend.

The 17-year-old aspiring photographer – the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham – set tongues wagging earlier this week when he followed his former flame Sonia Ben Ammar on Instagram again, nine months after their split in March, as they both holidayed separately in the Maldives with their families.

It’s not known if the pair have bumped into each other while lapping up the sun in the tropical country but they have both posted photographs on their social media sites seemingly taken in the same vicinity on the idyllic island.

Shortly after Brooklyn re-followed the model on the photo-sharing site, he reportedly liked a shot she had uploaded of her sporting a mesh bikini in the sea.

Holidaying in the Maldives has no doubt brought back fond memories for the young pair – who dated for five months – as they first met while there in 2014.

And, although their romance was short lived, Sonia, 17 – who is the daughter of Tunisian producer and director Tarak Ben Ammar – seemingly made a good impression on Brooklyn’s family as they were reportedly "happy" about their love.

After their split, the talented star went on to strike up a relationship with Chloe Grace Moretz, 19, but their romance came crashing down a few months later.

A source said recently: "Brooklyn is so young with his whole life ahead of him, he basically just didn’t need the aggro. He was besotted with her at first, but as time wore on Chloe wanted to become more serious and given he lives on the other side of the Atlantic, it was something he couldn’t offer."

However, friends wouldn’t be surprised if the couple – who briefly dated in 2014 before getting back together earlier this year – reconcile again in the future.

The insider added: "Like any youngsters in a relationship, there wouldn’t be much of a surprise if they get back together. Especially if they go on to mix in the same circles."

Christmas cook David Beckham

David Beckham has been cooking a special family recipe ahead of Christmas.

The retired soccer superstar has been busy preparing a beef stew for his wife Victoria Beckham and their four children – Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper – from a recipe perfected by his mother Sandra and his secret ingredient is a can of Guinness poured in for the sauce.

David shared a video taken by Brooklyn on his Instagram account of him creating the meal and he can be heard asking his oldest son "what are we making Brooklyn?" to which he responds by saying "beef stew".

The Manchester United legend then adds: "With Guinness."

David, 41, accompanied the video with the caption: "Preparing the beef stew just like mum used to make it … Not as tasty but not far away … Plus dumplings mmmmmm oh and a little Guinness (sic)"

The hunky sportsman also tagged his close friend, TV chef Gordon Ramsay, in the post so he could see his pal’s culinary skills.

David and Victoria will be spending some of the festive period with Gordon, 50, and his wife Tana – who also have four children, Megan, Matilda and twins Jack and Holly, together – as they are all going to five-star luxury resort Amilla Fushi in the Maldives to see in 2017.

Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmate Mel C will also be joining them and will be singing for the two families on New Year’s Eve (12.31.16).

Mel C: I’m don’t want to let down Spice Girls fans

Mel C worried about letting Spice Girls fans down by not being a part of their reunion plans.

The ‘Northern Star’ singer had mixed feelings about whether or not to reunite with former bandmates Mel C, Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton for their 20th anniversary, as she worried about putting herself under pressure and scrutiny, but didn’t want to leave people feeling disappointed.

She said: "At the start of the year, I was in limbo. I’d been working on a solo album but the Spice Girls’ 20th anniversary was looming and we’d talked about doing something to celebrate.

"Choosing between the two was a really hard decision to make.

"Financially I’d have done really well out of a reunion, but more importantly, I didn’t want to let the girls or our fanbase down.

"These days, people who were fans at a very young age approach me all the time anf tell me we inspired them in their careers or gave them the confidence to come out as gay.

"We were such a big part of so many people’s childhoods and that’s the thing I’m most proud of."

As well as her fears about returning to the group, Mel was also put off the reunion because Victoria Beckham didn’t want to be involved.

She added: "At the same time, I had concerns about Victoria not being involved and started having second thoughts.

"When I’m a solo artist, my life is my own but when you become part of the group again, it’s much higher profile.

"You become part of something you can’t control. In the past, I haven’t always enjoyed that level of pressure and exposure.

"One day I woke up and realised I couldn’t do it. First I called Emma, who has always been my closest friend in the band, then I told the others."

And Mel – who has seven-year-old daughter Scarlet with ex-partner Thomas Starr – admits deciding not to take part in the anniversary celebrations was "life-changing" for her.

She told Grazia magazine: "Afterwards I felt a huge relief. It was a life-changing decision to put myself first.

"In my younger years, I often felt other people knew better or wanted to keep the piece.

"Being a mum to a little girl means I have to set a good example and treat myself better than I used to.

"I want her to be a strong woman, so I can’t allow myself to be walked over. I have to lead by example."

Beckhams hire Mel C for NYE bash

David and Victoria Beckham have hired Mel C to perform at their New Year’s Eve bash.

The retired footballer and former Spice Girl – who have kids Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper – have enlisted the services of the fashion designer’s bandmate to provide the entertainment at their getaway in the Maldives with pals Gordon and Tana Ramsay.

A source said: "Victoria has been the instigator for the whole trip.

"She’s sorted all the accommodation for both families and ensured Mel is there to perform."

Mel and Victoria are said to have grown closer in recent months after both turned down the chance to reform the Spice Girls alongside Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Mel B.

The source added to The Sun newspaper: "They’ve always been great pals, but have got closer over the past few months due to their shared stance on the Spice Girls comeback.

"There was no way Mel was going to turn down the invite as the gig will be something special."

The Beckhams will see in 2017 at five-star luxury resort Amilla Fushi.

It won’t all be hard work for Mel as she will be joined by her boyfriend Joe Marshall for the celebrations when she is not performing.

Victoria turned down a Spice Girls reunion to concentrate on her fashion label and Mel later admitted she didn’t want to re-join the band as a fourpiece.

She said: "I know there are people that want to see it. But there were various reasons … but the one thing that I couldn’t get away from was that, we did reunite as a five piece [for the Olympics] and it was so incredible, and for me we are like a jigsaw puzzle and if there’s a piece missing it’s not complete. We’re not a band of interchangeable parts. So for me, it didn’t feel right."

"And Cruz came to us and said, ‘How about I do a Christmas song for charity? And all the proceeds go to charity.’ There’s nothing more to this than that at the moment.

"He’s 11 years old, he’s still at school, he’s concentrating at school. That’s the most important thing. But he wanted to give back and he’s done this amazing little Christmas song that’s got a lot of attention. And you know we are very proud of it.

The 11-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham released his debut single ‘If Every Day Was Christmas’ earlier this week, and the 38-year-old former Pussycat Dolls singer has been in touch with the schoolboy’s fashionista mother to discuss the possibility of a "cool" duet.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the ‘X Factor’ judge said: "Victoria was just telling me about her son the other day. He’s just doing it all himself and she’s supporting him.
