Victoria Beckham: Salmon keeps my skin healthy

Victoria Beckham eats salmon "every day" to keep her skin healthy.

The 42-year-old fashion designer has admitted that her skin wasn’t always perfect, but her dermatologist told her to try eating the oily fish once a day to help clear her complexion, and since she started she hasn’t looked back.

Speaking to Net-a-Porter’s digital magazine The Edit, she said: "I used to have really problematic skin and he [her dermatologist] said to me, ‘You have to eat salmon every single day,’ I said, ‘Really, every day?’ And he said, ‘Yes; breakfast, lunch or dinner, you have to eat it every single day.’ "

And whilst the former Spice Girl can boast about having perfect skin, she can’t say the same about her wardrobe choices in years gone by, as she has taken the time to reflect on her "fashion mistakes".

She said: "I have made so many fashion mistakes but I actually don’t look at them as mistakes. I celebrate those things. I laugh occasionally but I’m not ashamed of any of that."

Recalling two instances in particular, the mother of four – who has children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five, with husband David Beckham – admits it was a mistake to wear Louboutin heels when she was heavily pregnant.

She said: "At some point I thought it was OK to wear a PVC catsuit. When I was pregnant with Romeo, I walked around Disneyland in Christian Louboutin heels, literally at nine months’ pregnant!"

And the fashion designer also took the time to gush about her retired footballer husband, saying that she wouldn’t be where she was if it wasn’t for the star and his support.

She said: "I couldn’t do any of this if it wasn’t for David; he is such a supportive husband and someone who inspires me so much. His work ethic is incredible, and he is the most fantastic husband and devoted father."

Hayley Hasselhoff: I was bullied for being fat

Hayley Hasselhoff was "picked on" as a child for being overweight.

The 24-year-old plus size model might have grown up in a privileged A-List family as her father is former ‘Baywatch’ star David Hasselhoff, but Hayley admits she was bullied as a child because of her size.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, she said: "I was picked on a lot as a child. One time that most stands out is during a dance at school. I heard this boy say, ‘I got the fat girl.’ Afterwards, I told my mother, ‘Don’t ever make me go again.’ It was awful. But I just wasn’t formed the same way as everyone else."

But now, Hayley is happy with how she looks and is pleased with the rise in plus size girls on catwalks, as there "was nothing" when she started modeling aged 14.

She said: "The number of bigger girls on the catwalk is ever-growing. When I was 14 and starting out, there was nothing, but now there’s so much plus-size on the high street – even in high fashion."

Hayley recently unveiled her first collection for British fashion retailer Elvi, and has cited her fashion designer inspiration as Victoria Beckham, despite the former Spice Girl’s controversial choice to use very thin models during her New York catwalk show.

Hayley said: "I aspire to be her, because she started from ground zero and built her way up to a couture line. That’s what I want to do, and it’s why I’m working with Elvi. I love clean lines and want everything to be chic and simple. That often doesn’t come through in plus-size."

And Hayley is a firm believer in making sure models take care of themselves, saying that it’s "unbelievably terrible" that some girls feel the need to starve themselves for the sake of their work.

She said: "It’s unbelievably terrible. And we definitely need more talks about that to protect those girls."

Victoria Beckham is ‘really’ happy

Victoria Beckham is "really, really happy".

The 42-year-old fashion designer – who has children Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five, with husband David Beckham – thinks her contentment in her personal and professional life is reflected in her latest collection.

She said: "There’s not one single thing in the collection I wouldn’t wear myself, not one piece.

"I’d say [the collection] was easy and happy. And I guess that’s how I feel.

"I’m really lucky to absolutely love what I do and for things to be going so well and to have such a great family – all those things and I think that’s what you can see in the collection. I’m really, really happy."

The former Spice Girls singer admits she is much more comfortable with herself than she was 20 years ago.

Asked if being older is sexy, she told Britain’s Grazia magazine: "I think so, and I know that I feel happier in my skin now than I did at 20.

"With age comes experience, assuredness and knowledge, all of which are very desirable attributes in a woman."

Victoria is a "girly girl" at heart and loves getting dressed up.

She said: "I think I’m quite a girly girl at heart and I enjoy the whole process of getting dressed up – from choosing an outfit to having my hair and make-up done – I always have. For me, it’s a way of celebrating being a woman."

But backstage at her New York Fashion Week show earlier this month, Victoria was pictured in a simple shirt, slouchy linen trousers and comfortable sandals, a far cry from her usual polished look.

And the designer admits she is always too busy on show days to worry about what she looks like.

She said: "That’s just what I wear to work. There’s just too much going on on the day of the show to get myself all done up, but you’re right, not many people see me dressed like that."

Victoria Beckham moisturises with coconut oil

Victoria Beckham smothers herself in cooking oil to keep her skin super smooth.

Instead of using expensive cosmetic products, the 42-year-old fashion designer says coconut oil which is used to make meals is better than anything on the market for moisturising your body.

Sharing her top three beauty tips in an exclusive interview with UK TV show ‘This Morning’, she said: "Number one I would say coconut oil. So I use coconut oil – the kind of oil that you would cook with – I use it all over my body as well because it’s really, really moisturising, so I would say coconut oil."

Victoria’s other top two tips are eating a "balanced diet" packed with "good fats" such as "avocado, nuts and lots of oily fish" and always taking off your makeup before you go to bed.

The Spice Girls star also revealed her love of fashion and makeup was instilled in her as a child when she used to watch her mother Jackie get ready.

She said: "I’ve been interested in beauty and makeup for as long as I can remember, I remember when I was really young and I was going to school and my mum would get out her lipstick from her bag and put a little bit of her lip on my cheek and she’d tell me that I looked a bit peaky and try to liven me up a little bit, if you like.

"I’ve always loved makeup, I’m very, very girly, I used to sit and watch my mum get ready, my mum is very glamorous and I remember sitting on her bed and watching her apply her makeup, get dressed and do her hair … I like to make the best of what I have, I’m not a supermodel, clearly, I’m not a makeup artist, I’m a real woman."

And now history is repeating itself as Victoria’s five-year-old daughter Harper loves to sit and watch her get ready and play dress up with her clothes.

The label boss – who also has sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 11, with her husband David Beckham – said: "Harper loves beauty! She loves it, I’m very close with all of the children but the great thing about Harper being a little girl, she loves to play with makeup and that’s really great mother and daughter time, she is very, very girly, she also loves to run around in the garden with her brothers and play football but she is very, very feminine and she loves playing with makeup and my clothes as well – she has been able run in [Alia] platforms for a few years right now, she can wear heels like most grown-ups cannot!"

David Beckham steals Victoria’s beauty products

David Beckham steals his wife’s beauty products.

The 42-year-old fashion designer – who has Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper with her husband – has revealed David’s secret to always looking good.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, she said: "David does steal my beauty products! It doesn’t annoy me, he looks so beautiful, that no, it doesn’t annoy me."

Meanwhile, the former Spice Girl previously insisted she couldn’t do her job without the support of her husband.

She said: "David [is] so great. I couldn’t do any of this without him. He is very supportive and it means I can come away and work and know he is being the best dad looking after the kids. We work very well together, because David travels a lot and when he travels I am at home. There is always someone there with the children."

And Victoria recently gushed about how David is the "best partner anybody can have".

She added: "David comes to my shows and David is my business partner. Everything we do, we do everything together. We really support each other … He’s the best partner anybody can have.

"I tend not to talk too much about work when I get home because I’ve been working on it all day and there’s so many other things to catch up with regards to the children and what he’s doing."

Victoria’s full interview with ‘This Morning’ will air on Thursday (09.15.16) on ITV.

Victoria Beckham believes in the power of crystals

Victoria Beckham makes her staff carry crystals to emit positive energy.

The Spice Girls star runs her own acclaimed self-titled fashion label and in a bid to keep the success going she keeps healing crystals on her person and hands them out to her team so she is surrounded by good vibes.

She said: "I’m really into crystals. I’m a real positive thinker. I believe in creative visualization – the glass is always half full. I have no time for anything negative. I bought crystals for all my team, so they carry them too."

Victoria – also known as Posh Spice – isn’t the only star to rely on the power of crystals; Adele, Madonna, Miranda Kerr and Sam Smith are also firm believers in their properties.

Sam splashed the cash on the holistic treatment at healers Spellbound Sky in Los Angeles when he was recovering from an operation on his vocal cords and also purchased a "love potion" to help him find a man.

Perhaps Victoria, 42, could hand out the stones to her and husband David Beckham’s kids – Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper – who all have dreams of stardom.

Brooklyn has already tried his hand at photography and done some modeling, Romeo has starred in Burberry campaigns and is tipped to become a catwalk star, Cruz is a budding soccer player and also could be the next Justin Bieber after showcasing his singing talents and Harper will follow her mother into her fashion label.

Although Victoria loves everything about motherhood it is not without its embarrassing moments and the megastar was recently left red-faced at her kids’ sports day.

Recalling the incident on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’, she said: "I was at sports day and I thought, ‘It’s the taking part that counts.’ One of the moms said, ‘We’ll run at the back together.’ Then she steamed ahead! She won and I was at the back."

Victoria Beckham: My family is like a travelling circus

Victoria Beckham says her family is like a "travelling circus" because they can "sing, dance and do football (soccer)".

The former Spice Girls star is extremely proud of her and husband David Beckham’s brood – Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper – and all the different talents she, David and the kids possess.

Victoria has shared some of her children’s different skills and admits she was amazed when she discovered Cruz had such a fantastic singing voice, something which neither she nor David had ever noticed before.

During an appearance on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ on Monday (12.09.16), she shared: "I mean we are like a travelling circus, our family. We sing. We dance. We do football (soccer). We do fashion."

Discussing Cruz’s penchant for singing, she added: "He’s always the one that plays football (soccer), and he was just singing in the back of the car one day. And he was singing, and I was like, ‘Wow, you can really sing.’ And then he picked up his cups and off he went."

After having three wonderful boys, Victoria admits it was special for her and David – who was the captain of the England soccer team – to finally have a daughter in 2011, and although Harper is a "tomboy" and is obsessed with the family sport she also loves to play dress up.

She shared: "It was so great to have a girl, and the boys are so great with her, and David is such a great dad. It’s so cute to see him with a little girl. She’s so great. She’s a little tomboy playing in the garden with her brothers, playing football (soccer), and David as well, but she’s also very girly. She loves to play with makeup. She has been able to run in a pair of high heels for a long time. I’m so proud."

Although Victoria, 42, has spurned the opportunity to reform the Spice Girls with Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner to celebrate their 20th anniversary to focus on her fashion business she has introduced her kids to her old band and has even show them the film ‘Spice World’.

The brunette beauty – also known as Posh Spice – spilled: "They know the Spice Girls. They know that mommy wore heels and did the pout and point. They’re proud. We’ve watched the movie (Spice World) together. When I was on tour with the Spice Girls, I took the children with me, so they know it."

Victoria Beckham relies on David’s suppport

Victoria Beckham couldn’t do her job without the support of her husband.

The 42-year-old fashion designer knows retired soccer player David Beckham is always there for their four children, Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old Harper, so she doesn’t have to worry when her work is busy because he is the "best dad".

She said: "David [is] so great. I couldn’t do any of this without him.

"He is very supportive and it means I can come away and work and know he is being the best dad looking after the kids. We work very well together, because David travels a lot and when he travels I am at home. There is always someone there with the children."

David and Brooklyn were on the front row for Victoria’s New York Fashion Week presentation at the weekend, but her younger children couldn’t attend because of their school commitments.

While the former Spice Girls singer knew it was important that they stayed at home in London, she couldn’t help but "miss" them.

In a Facebook chat with the Daily Telegraph, she said: "The other children are at school and have only just gone back after a long summer break – but Brooklyn is doing A Levels so it’s easier for him to travel and he will be in home in time for school.

"I love having them here and I miss them."

When it comes to her designs, Victoria admits she makes things "difficult" for herself because she likes a "challenge".

She said: "I do like to make things difficult for myself and my team, just from taking on a challenge if you like. The velvet for example, I haven’t worked velvet for such a long time, because it’s something that normally feels old and heavy, but this is something which is super light and in bright colors."

Chloe Grace Moretz shares travel survival essential

Chloe Grace Moretz has to travel with "noise cancelling headphones" to stay "sane".

The 19-year-old actress has to fly a lot for her career and she admits if she didn’t have her must-have item she wouldn’t be able to cope with the stress of airports.

Taking to her Twitter account, she shared: "Literally the only thing that keeps me sane rn is noise cancelling headphones, #airports (sic)"

Chloe is keen to pair her headphones with the new Apple iPhone 7s but to do so she’ll have to ditch the company’s wireless headphones which come with the must-have gadget.

In another tweet she revealed she’s desperate to get her hands on the smartphone, simply posting "gimme dat iphone 7s (sic)".

Chloe just recently split from her boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham – the 17-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham.

It was claimed that Brooklyn decided to call time on the romance because she couldn’t cope with having a long-distance relationship as she lives in Los Angeles and he is based in London with his family.

A source said: "Brooklyn is so young with his whole life ahead and although he was besotted with her at first, as time wore on Chloe wanted to become more serious and given he lives on the other side of the Atlantic, it was something he couldn’t offer."

The pair briefly dated in 2014 before getting back together earlier this year before separating.

Chloe had been welcomed into the Beckham family – also comprised of Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and his little sister Harper, five – with open arms and had nothing but kind words to say about David, 41, and Victoria, 42.

The ‘Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising’ star previously said: "The Beckhams are a great family. They don’t tout their money either. They’d [the family] understand the travel, the sex scenes with random people, the crazy schedule."

Mel B teases special guests for Spice Girls reunion

Mel B has teased the Spice Girls will replace missing members Mel C and Victoria Beckham with special guests when they perform again.

Scary Spice is planning to reunite with Baby Spice Emma Bunton and Ginger Spice Geri Horner to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single ‘Wannabe’ and first album ‘Spice’ as a trio as Sporty Spice and Posh Spice don’t want to be involved.

It has been speculated that the threesome will take to the stage at Hyde Park in London next summer and Mel, 41, has teased that some other singers will fill in for the pair.

During an interview on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ on Thursday night (09.08.16), she said: "We are going to do something, us three. We’re going to perform and celebrate together. I think because we’re a British band, we’re probably going to start in London and work our way around and see whoever else wants to see it.

"I don’t think we could ever replace Sporty or Posh, but I’d like to invite some people up on stage with us."

Corden then suggested famous Spice Girls fan Adele as a possible special guest following her recent impromptu performance of ‘Spice Up Your Life’ at one of her concerts.

To which Mel B – real name Melanie Brown – enthusiastically replied: "I love her!"

The ‘Holler’ singer couldn’t resist having a bit of fun with Mel C and Victoria’s decision not to be part of the reunion.

British host Corden, 38, asked why only three of the band are up for getting back together prompting Mel to exclaim: "Because the other two bitches didn’t want to do it!"

However, she was quick to assure the studio audience she was only joking, saying: "Let me correct that – my other two fellow lovely ladies. Look, Victoria’s busy with her great fashion line and Mel C’s doing her own album. So they gracefully said, ‘You know, you three, you go ahead and do it.’ We’re girl power, we support each other. So us three went, ‘Ok, let’s just us three do it.’ "

Mel C recently admitted she felt the quintet’s appearance at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony should have been their final one and admitted she has no interest in reuniting with the other members.

In an essay for LOVE magazine, she wrote: "Truth be told, earlier this year after several face-to-face meetings with the girls I made the difficult decision not to be part of a proposed reunion with Emma, Geri and Melanie. Victoria had already bowed out understandably with the demands of her fashion label and her rather large family.

"The hardest part for me was letting people down, the girls, the fans, civilization?! Unfortunately something didn’t feel quite right and I had to follow my gut.

"I’d love to play huge arenas across the world, sing our brilliantly bonkers pop songs and relive our former glory. It is of course a very lucrative opportunity too. But we were a five-piece band. Didn’t we reach a peak with the Olympics? There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note."
