Spice Girls new music leaks

A new Spice Girls song has been leaked.

Last week, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner teased they were planning something – seemingly without other members Victoria Beckham and Mel C – in honor of the group’s 20th anniversary and it has now emerged they have recorded their first new material in nine years, a track called ‘Song For Her’.

According to The Sun newspaper, the song explores the way the trio have sometimes felt they have lost their Spice Girls identities due to their lives as parents.

Lyrics include: "Wipe up your tears of doubt you have been crying, lift up your dreams feel like you’re flying, never forget the girl is the woman you are."

And it is likely there will be even more new music to come.

A source said: "Obviously the girls have been recording in the studio over the past few months.

"The plan is very much for there to be new music.

"It will not be released under the GEM name that they gave themselves in their announcement, this is still very much the Spice Girls.

"It’s a Spice Girls song through and through and it’s something millions of their fans will be able to relate to having grown up with them.

"You can guarantee as soon as it’s released they will be back at the top of the charts where they belong, with or without Mel C or Victoria."

Earlier this week, Mel B dodged questions as to whether or not Mel C and Victoria will be joining her, Geri and Emma in their reunion.

Asked directly if Victoria is out of the group, she told ‘Access Hollywood Live’: "I think between the five of us, we’re always going to be the Spice Girls.

"But right now who you see saying thank you [in the video] are the ones going to be hurrying it all along."

Later in the interview, Mel was again pressed on whether the others will be back, but simply teased they have some "interesting" things on the way.

She said: "You know what? All will be revealed very, very soon.

"We have a few interesting things that we will be sharing with everybody, or the people that want to know. It’s gonna be very interesting."

Geri Horner proud to inspire Adele

Geri Horner felt "so proud" when Adele sang the Spice Girls on James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment.

The ‘Hello’ hitmaker spoke about her long love of the girl group when she featured on the ‘Late, Late Show’ earlier this year, and also sang their debut single ‘Wannabe’, and Geri was overjoyed that the 28-year-old singer "connected" with her group over their shared backgrounds.

Geri wrote in an essay for America’s Marie Claire magazine: "I felt so proud watching Adele on James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment gone viral video saying she loved the Spice Girls.

"She connected with us, she says, because we were just five ordinary girls who ‘got out.’ ‘I didn’t know what I wanted to get out of, but I wanted to get out,’ she explains. It’s something that we – and many other girls, too – felt: We all wanted to get out, stand up and be heard, be counted and have a voice that mattered.

"And there we were in those platform shoes! Our message screamed it for every girl.

"We all felt it, and as sisters all around the world connected through our music and songs, we shared that feeling.

"Suddenly, we weren’t alone. Real girl power says you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be united."

And Geri believes the Spice Girls have always been "bigger" than herself and her bandmates, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Mel C.

She added: "The Spice Girls is bigger than one, two, three, four, or five members. It belongs to us all. "

During her appearance on ‘Carpool Karaoke’, Adele told host James she was "truly heartbroken" for the first time when Geri quit the Spice Girls in 2003.

The ‘Skyfall’ singer also discussed how her time as a devotee of the group was a "really important" period for her as they were such an inspiration.

She explained: "It was a huge moment in my life when they came out.

"It was girl power, and it was these five ordinary girls who did so well and got out. I was like, ‘I want to get out.’ It was a really important period of my life."

Geri Horner found it ‘tricky’ living with the Spice Girls

Geri Horner found it "tricky" living with the Spice Girls.

The 43-year-old singer – who made up one fifth of the girl group – has admitted she found it difficult living with the girl band when they first formed in 1994 because there wasn’t enough space in their "small three-bedroom" house they shared in Maidenhead, England.

Speaking to MarieClaire.com, the red-headed beauty said: "Five girls living together in a small three-bedroom house in Maidenhead, just outside London, was lots of fun, albeit at times tricky."

However the ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker has revealed she found it easier to leave her family home and move in with Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton because she had moved out before, although she thinks her housemates soon discovered she was a "bossy" housemate.

She explained: "I was the oldest at 22 and had already experienced living away from home, so the other girls probably found me quite bossy."

And Geri – who was known as Ginger Spice in the band – has revealed the girls swiftly became like a family and she developed a close bond with everyone.

She said: "Emma was the youngest at 18; she was like the little sister I never had, and I adored her immediately. Mel B and I became partners in crime, always getting into trouble together. Victoria and I had an equal relationship. And Melanie C and I shared a childlike fascination for pop music and had big dreams of making it."

Meanwhile, Geri has admitted she would walk around as if she was famous even before the band was known.

She explained: "During our first year together as the Spice Girls, on a weekend when Emma and Victoria went home to visit their families, Mel B, Mel C, and I went to Camden Market … We weren’t famous yet, but strutted like we were."

David Beckham shares sweet picture of Harper on her birthday

David Beckham shared a sweet picture of his daughter Harper on her fifth birthday (10.07.16).

The 41-year-old retired soccer star posted an adorable black and white photo of Harper – who turned five on Sunday (10.07.16) – kissing him on the cheek and wished his "pretty lady" a happy birthday while saying how "lucky" he and his wife Victoria Beckham are to have their daughter in their life.

Alongside pic, he wrote: "Happy birthday to my Pretty Lady. In 5 years baby Harper has brought so much love into our family Such a special girl in so many different ways we are so lucky to spend each day with such a beautiful soul. We adore you baby girl happy birthday love Daddy. (sic)"

Meanwhile, Victoria – who also has Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13, and Cruz, 11 with David – also shared a picture of Harper kissing her and captioned the picture: "Happy Birthday baby girl We all love you so much X @davidbeckham @brooklynbeckham kisses from mummy X (sic)"

The family are currently on holiday in Reykjavík, Iceland and are staying as guests of Icelandic business entrepreneur Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson.

David previously posted a photo of himself catching salmon whilst enjoying a fishing trip.

He wrote: "Another day another Salmon."

David previously admitted he has "no power" when it comes to Harper as he’s a push-over and is a lot "stricter" with his boys.

He said: "I have no power with that little girl – no power whatsoever. I love all my children, of course, equally but I’m definitely stricter with the boys than I am Harper, which gets me in trouble with my wife of course."

Spice Girls hint at possible comeback

Three of the Spice Girls have hinted at a possible reunion.

Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Brown all appear in a new video thanking their fans for their loyal support since the release of their debut single ‘Wannabe’ 20 years ago today (08.07.16), before inviting them to a "party" they’re planning to host.

In the video, which has been released on YouTube, Geri says: "You’ve stood by us for 20 years, and we want to say a big thank you."

Melanie, who is sat alongside her fellow bandmates in a bed, then says: "And we want to celebrate and have a party. And when we do, you’re all invited."

At that stage, a cryptic message appears on the screen, suggesting the group’s exact plans will be announced at a later date.

The message, which also references ‘Wannabe’, read: "We hope to tell you soon what you really really want."

However, Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm – who are also known as Posh and Sporty Spice – are noticeably absent from the video, suggesting that if the girls do reunite, it will be as a trio only.

The pair are thought to be reluctant to reunite, even for a one-off gig – but Mel C did tweet earlier today: "Happy 20th birthday Wannabe – you haven’t aged a bit!"

The video – which is also hosted on a site called Spice Girls GEM, thought to stand for Geri, Emma, Mel B – comes shortly after music producer Eliot Kennedy, who has frequently worked with The Spice Girls, revealed the trio have been working on new music together.

He told ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’: "We have been in the studio, with just three of them – Mel B and Geri and Emma – and we had a fantastic couple of days.

"We wrote a brilliant song and the energy was exactly like it was 20 years ago, just as enthusiastic, just as much to say, just as much to celebrate.

"I think they have something to do with way female artists are perceived in the pop charts nowadays, I think they’ve had a massive effect on pop music and pop culture, so it’s a good time to celebrate."

Brooklyn Beckham’s 100k job

Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly landed a $130,000 phone advert job.

The 17-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham is set to get the huge sum for appearing in a commercial for Chinese mobile phone company Huawei, which he filmed earlier this week.

A source told The Sun: "Huawei went for Brooklyn because he’s young, well-presented and seen as a good role model for kids his age.

"He’s got millions of social media followers and this is a good way to engage a load of youngsters.

"People will think he’s only got this job because of his rich parents bur he doesn’t take anything for granted."

Meanwhile, the photographer has recently returned from the US following a visit to see his girlfriend Chloe Grace Moretz in Los Angeles and the pair are completely smitten with each other.

Chloe, 19, recently revealed Brooklyn makes her feel beautiful, saying: "My boyfriend is a huge support. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I don’t need a man for anything, but when I’m feeling bad about myself, he’s like, ‘Stop. Look at what you say in interviews. Look at what you stand for. Listen to your own words, because you’re as beautiful as you say you are!

"[He believes] women are more beautiful than they think. It’s nice to have a young man who’s 17 years old be able to look at a woman that way. I think it means we’re on the right track."

Chloe – who was first romantically linked to Brooklyn at Paris Fashion Week in 2014 – previously insisted she doesn’t see any point in hiding their relationship any longer.

Quizzed on whether she is dating Brooklyn, she said: "I think the more I don’t make it mysterious the more people don’t care, so yes we’re in a relationship."

Spice Girls ‘all kissed’

The Spice Girls "all kissed once in a while".

The quintet – Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C, and Victoria Beckham – were all close friends and occasionally weren’t afraid to show their affections for one another.

Quizzed on speculation that Geri and Mel B had an affair, Emma said: "I’m sure we’ve all kissed once in a while but no, nothing more than that."

Meanwhile, the ‘Stop’ singer – who has sons Beau, eight, and Tate, four, with fiance Jade Jones – played it coy when asked about rumours she once dated Justin Timberlake.

She laughed: "I’m going to have to say no comment."

All the Spice Girls had a very close bond, which Emma credits for helping her stay grounded throughout their global success.

She said: "I was such a family girl and, being so young, it was quite difficult being away from home so much.

"But I had the girls – they were my rock. It was crazy on the outside but the centre of it was quite calm.

"We looked after each other. We never really let anyone in, we were very solid the five of us.

"Even now Jade, my other half, says, ‘When you five are in a room it’s like you’re being pushed back from the force of it.’

"Because of what we went through together, there’s a bond that no one else understands. We might not see each other for months but if I need one of them, they’ll be there."

And Emma claims she and her bandmates rarely fought because they didn’t have "time".

She told Grazia magazine: "I’m sure we had arguments over clothes we wanted to wear for videos or who was getting their hair done next, but we stuck together.

"We knew we couldn’t really have those big arguments. We didn’t have time."

Victoria Beckham causes a ‘fashion fallout’ by wearing trainers

Victoria Beckham has caused a "fashion fallout" by wearing trainers, according to Mary Portas.

The 42-year-old singer has caused "shockwaves" in the fashion industry for swapping her sky high stilettos for a pair of flat shoes at her catwalk show during New York Fashion Week in March this year.

Speaking about the fashion designer’s wardrobe choice on Thursday’s (06.30.16) episode of ‘What Britain Buys’, the show’s host said: "Shockwaves crashed through the fashion world in March when Victoria finally succumbed to the hottest trend in town and donned a pair of trainers at New York Fashion Week."

Although the red-headed retail consultant-come-presenter was stunned by the move, experts on the Channel 4 show are more appreciative of Victoria’s actions.

Speaking about the mother of four – who has sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 13 and Cruz, 11, and daughter Harper, four, with her husband David Beckham – new found style, stylists on the programme said: "You even have Victoria Beckham going out wearing trainers, five years ago that would never have happened."

And blogger Dina Torkia added: "When I saw Victoria Beckham in those white trainers I felt amazing. I thought ‘great I can wear trainers and be glamorous’."

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty – who launched dvb Denim collection in 2007 – has admitted she has found it "particularly hard" to keep up with the pace of the fashion industry, and launched four collections in one year to compete with the "current cycle" of designers.

Speaking previously, the former Spice Girls band member – who was nicknamed Posh Spice in the group – said: "The current cycle of fashion designers is particularly hard. In a year we launched four series, there are other types of products.

"Obviously the speed will only get faster, but fortunately I have the best of the best working partners. Our strategy is to keep calm, unhurried. Good work is never born in quickly, the most important works to perfection to make."
