Victoria Beckham teams up with Range Rover

British car maker Range Rover marked its 40th anniversary by announcing an agreement with designer Victoria Beckham. She is now its new creative design director, Coco Perez reports.
 
Beckham is a former member of the Spice Girls who has become a designer in recent years. She has released several collections of her own.
 
Land Rover and Range Rover design director Gerry McGovern said: "Victoria understands luxury products. She is a Range Rover fan and has been a Range Rover owner for many years."
 
Beckham will be designing the interior of a special edition of the brand’s new Evoque model.
 
She attended the anniversary party at Kensington Palace on July 1 in London, England. She commented: "This is a very exciting collaboration. The classic British heritage of Range Rover and the effortless style, quality and beauty is something I truly admire."

The Spice Girls don’t have time to do it

According to a report on Orange News, singer Melanie Chisholm sets the record straight about reunion rumours. She says the five members of the Spice Girls are too busy to reunite and head out on tour.
 
Last month, rumours started to swirl in the media that the pop group was getting ready for another rounds of shows. The stories claimed the tour would be a follow-up to their 2007-2008 comeback tour that marked their first shows since Geri Halliwell left in 1998.
 
Recent rumours claimed the group was ready to hit the road, except Victoria Beckham who preferred to concentrate on her design career.
 
Now Chisholm decided to settle the matter once and for all. She states that no-one in the group has time for a new tour.
 
She says, "There’s no chance of that happening. Don’t believe what you’ve read elsewhere, because we have no plans to tour again. We all have our own projects going on and have families too so we couldn’t find the time even if we wanted to."

The Spice Girls without Posh?

The Spice Girls want to reunite for another tour but are having trouble convincing Victoria Beckham to join them, Orange News reports.
 
The pop group got back together in 2007 and 2008 and embarked on a sold-out world tour. It was the first time the five singers had reunited since Geri Halliwell left in 1998.
 
After the tour ended, Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, decided to hang up her microphone for good and focus on her design career.
 
Now, the group wants to do it all over again. But this time, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm are finding it hard to persuade Beckham to jump on board.
 
A source explains: "The girls are so excited. They are buzzing about getting back together and each have so many new ideas and so much to bring to the table. They are desperate to get Posh (Beckham) on board, but that is the sticking point."
 
The source also said that Victoria Beckham is over that stage in her life. She does not want to put her fashion industry projects on hold to do a tour. This means the group may be forced to do it without her.

Victoria Beckham sets the record straight

Victoria Beckham goes on the offensive to dispel rumours that her marriage to David Beckham has never recovered after infidelity rumours circulated about the soccer star in 2004, Orange News reports.
 
The former Spice Girl insists that their relationship is far from just a business relationship.
 
The singer married the athlete in 1999. Five years later, their relationship hit a bump when Beckham was accused of carrying on a five-month affair with his personal assistant, Rebecca Loos.
 
David Beckham denied the rumours at the time and the couple decided to put the matter behind them.
 
Since then, there has been talk that the two decided to stay married for the sake of their kids and to preserve their marketing cachet.
 
Victoria Beckham finally decided to set the record straight. She says, "I know David has never cheated on me. I really do believe deep down that I have the most faithful husband I could hope for. I can honestly say I am really lucky to have him. I couldn’t live a lie and it would be unfair on the children. We are working on things together but our marriage is absolutely not a business arrangement. Could you, for all the money in the world? I couldn’t."

The Beckhams pose together again

David and Victoria Beckham posed side by side again to promote their new fragrance, Coco Perez reports.

The soccer star is staying off the pitch right now to recover from that nasty Achilles’ tendon injury. He took advantage of his time off the field to model with his wife.

The sensual ad campaign promotes their new Spring/Summer 2010 fragrance called Beckham Signature Story.

The couple’s website describes the new scent as: "A beautiful contemporary take on old Hollywood glamour."

Signature Story For Her is "an elegant and feminine floral chypre." It is available in 15ml, 30ml, 50ml, 75ml Eau de toilette, 200ml body lotion, 200ml shower cream and 150ml body spray.

Signature Story For Him is "A complex woody aromatic." It is available in 30ml, 50ml, 75ml Eau de toilette, 50ml after shave, 200ml hair & body wash, 150ml deodorant spray, and 75g deodorant stick.

Victoria Beckham was recently named the most glamorous celebrity in the world by cosmetics giant Max Factor. She beat out Dannii Minogue and Angelina Jolie who placed second and third respectively.

Posh Spice tops the glam list

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham beat out actress Angelina Jolie and singer Dannii Minogue to be crowned the World’s Most Glamorous Celebrity.

Starpulse reports the singer-turned-designer is in first place on the list compiled by cosmetics giant Max Factor. She is followed by Minogue and Jolie who came in second and third place respectively.

A Max Factor spokesperson says, "Victoria Beckham has been gracing the fashion pages for years now with her glamorous looks and she has designed her own clothes range. She never leaves home without being fully made up and her signature glossy pout has become her calling card. Her simple tailored clothes, along with her love of heels and elegant make-up, have made her a fashion icon and queen of glamour." 

Victoria Beckham’s style is also being recognized by other celebrities. Rumours going around claim that singer Beyoncé asked Mrs. Beckham to design her new stage outfits.

According to a source, Beyoncé appreciates the elegant side of Beckham’s designs and wants to go for a different look on stage.

Coco Perez reports there are rumours Beyoncé asked Victoria Beckham to design some new stage costumers.
 
A source says, "Beyonce is a big fan of Victoria’s work, and was given a couple of samples from the new collection – including some sunglasses which she has been wearing at any given opportunity. Victoria was flattered and has agreed, in principle, to suggest some designs."
 
The source goes on to say, "While Beyonce already has the sunnies and a few dresses, it is Victoria’s more elegant full-length designs that she particularly loves as they are a real departure from her usual glitzy stage costumes."
 
Victoria Beckham announced last February that she is partnering with London glasses company Cutler & Gross to relaunch her sunglasses collection.
 
Available online at Net-A-Porter, this Spring/Summer 2010 collection offers several styles, including square metal frames, aviator frames and other looks.

Rihanna is a trend setter

Glamour magazine unveiled its list of the 50 best dressed women of 2010. First and second place go to singers Cheryl Cole and Rihanna.

Former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham dropped from third to eighth place this year.

Pregnant Australian Dannii Minogue is in sixth position. Her sister, singer Kylie Minogue, is absent from the top 50 for the first time since the magazine started publishing this list eight years ago.

Model Kate Moss ranked number two last year and sits in seventh spot in 2010.

Singer Beyoncé Knowles also finds herself among the top 10 best dressed women. She holds ninth spot this year.

The list of the best dressed women of 2010 appears in Glamour‘s May issue out on stands on April 8.

Posh is in Russia

According to Coco Perez, Victoria Beckham has spent a lot of time in Russia recently where she is launching a new collection in the Moscow luxury boutique TSUM.

After jetting between London, Finland and Los Angeles, the singer-turned-designer went to Russia this week to unveil her new dress collection.

Beckham introduced her Fall/Winter 2010 collection to some well off Russians. She was wearing one of her own creations, a black trench dress belted at the waist.

Coco Perez also reports the trip was not all work and no play. Beckham met up with supermodel Naomi Campbell and went to the ballet.

The designer also known as Posh Spice has been really busy lately with several projects. It was announced in February that she teamed up with London sunglasses company  Cutler & Gross to relaunch her sunglasses collection.

No arrivederci for George Clooney

Actor George Clooney denies rumours he is about to sell his villa on Lake Como in Laglio, Italy to David Beckham and his wife, Victoria.

A story started circulating that Beckham was negotiating to buy the property from the actor. It is worth $41.6 million US. The soccer star is back in Europe playing with soccer club AC Milan.

It went on to say that Clooney was looking to buy an island.

It is true that the British athlete fell in love with the area and Clooney’s villa. He was quoted in Italian media as saying, "I have fallen in love with the beautiful countryside. It’s peaceful, quiet and near Milan. It would be great for the family."

Laglio Mayor Roberto Pozzo was quoted saying he hoped they did move to the area.

George Clooney denies the story. He says it is completely made up. He states bluntly, "I am not buying an island and am not selling my house in Italy. The story was made up, then picked up and now denied."
