Spice Girls Reunion Seems Probable

Rumours of another Spice Girl reunion are beginning to look like reality.

Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton dined together last week, and discussed the possibility of taking the stage in South Africa for the FIFA World Cup 2010.  The girls would be performing for the opening ceremony of the event.

A source told England’s The Sun, "Mel is determined to get the girls back together for the World Cup and wants them to plough ahead as a foursome if Victoria doesn’t want to take part. She has got the others excited by the idea of a one-off appearance. They are very interested."

The Spice Girls have sold more than 60 million albums.  In 2007, they reunited for a 47-show tour, which was a huge success.

Will the Spice Girls Reunite Again?

The Spice Girls split in 1998 after Halliwell quit the group, but they came together in 2007 for a special tour.

Last week, four members of the group, Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown, were photographed in London, prompting rumours that they might be working together again, reports Orange News.

The four singers had been in contact the entire evening with the fifth Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, whom they reached through text messaging.

Halliwell is not completely ruling out the possibility of the group’s return. She stated, "We always talk about creative plans. Right – now, I’ll be honest: We are gathering information about a possibility, but I don’t like to… when you are evolving a plan, you don’t want to share it with the world."

Victoria Beckham Opens Up About Smiling

During an interview with the American edition of Elle magazine, the former Spice Girl revealed the reasons behind her sour puss.

"I do have my insecurities. Maybe that’s why I look a little bit serious. The kind of person who’s going to stand on the red carpet and have the big grin – I’m not like that. I want to get in there, do what I’ve got to do, and get home to my kids," revealed Beckham.

She was recently invited to be a guest judge on American Idol, and says she knows what types of project she wants to be associated with. "I know my boundaries – I know what I’m good at and what I’m not good at," concluded the 35-year-old star.

Victoria Beckham Loved Being a Judge

After working as a judge for the show’s Denver talent search, Victoria Beckham is now in Boston with the other judges to meet another set of contestants, reports UsMagazine.com.

However, the former Spice Girl is not a permanent judge.  Beckham’s rep stated, "There are no talks of her being a permanent judge. They felt she was natural in Denver. She has Fashion Week coming up and she is focusing on that."

Last week, Beckham revealed that she will likely be the type of judge that Paula Abdul was, saying, "I want to be nice to people. I know how it feels to stand there and be judged … I don’t want to shatter anybody’s dream, but at the same time there’s nothing wrong with constructive criticism."
