P. Diddy Celebrates His Star

P. Diddy will spend more than $3.5 million on a party to celebrate his inauguration on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, reported People.
 
The hip hop star has hired 20 people to organise the event which takes place on Friday (May 2).
 
A source stated, "It’s a huge honour for P. Diddy to be recognised in Hollywood. He came from Harlem and on Friday the creme de la creme of Hollywood will salute him."
 
Some big names on the guest list include Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Pharrell Williams, Eva Longoria, and David and Victoria Beckham.

Victoria Beckham Becomes a Stylist

While trying to find success in the United States for her clothing line, dVb, the Spice Girl can count on Tom Cruise to give her fashion career a boost.

According to FemaleFirst, the actor and producer has asked Victoria Beckham to design the clothing that he and Ben Stiller will wear in the film Hardy Men.

Beckham has not yet agreed to the proposition from the affluent actor.  A source revealed, "The idea is for her to have a series of meetings with the costume department. If she agrees, Victoria will be given a name check in the end credits."

The Beckhams Want a Big Family

The soccer star, who already has three boys with the Spice Girl, revealed that the couple is planning on having more children as soon as possible.
 
During an interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, he said, "We’re working on having more children. We’re very family oriented. We always wanted a big family, which was weird because when we first got together we never even discussed how many children we wanted. It’s worked out that we want a big family and we love kids so it’s worked out perfect."
 
David and Victoria have three sons, Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 3.

Victoria Beckham’s Collection Not So Posh

According to People, Posh Spice’s dVB jeans line has not had the success anticipated in the U.S.  Many managers at high-end boutiques expressed their regret, since the collection is not selling as they had projected. 

Some store owners such as Fraser Kitson, from Kitson boutique in Los Angeles, accuses the Spice Girl of this failure.  “She’s not supporting the line. It’s not good for her brand and not good for her endorsements. In a tough economy, you need to be in partnership with the people that are selling your line to your fans. That’s the bottom line,” stated Kitson.

The business owner who thinks the line needs a miracle to increase the sales added,  “Victoria lives fifteen minutes from the store. That’s just bad business.”

Mel B Presents Catty Couture

Mel B organised a pre-launch party for her new line of lingerie on Monday (April 7) in Los Angeles.

According to FemaleFirst, the Catty Couture line was created by the Spice Girl discretely while her fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham tried to get her foot in the fashion industry.  However, Mel B’s collection is not the same line of clothing as the DVB line by Beckham.

Catty Couture is doing tops with leopard prints, floral skirts and funky t-shirts.  The styles have been inspired by the singer’s own wardrobe.

Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm’s maternal instinct was sparked after spending time with her group members and their kids during their reunion tour, reveals FemaleFirst.
 
The singer, who is the only Spice Girl without children, is ready to start a family with her lover Tom Starr. Mel has been spotted spending time with the other Spice Girls’ offspring.
 
Mel C confesses, "Being backstage at the shows with the girls and all the kids made me think, ‘Yeah I could be a good mum.’ "

Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is the mother of three boys, Melanie Brown has two girls, Geri Halliwell has a daughter and Emma Bunton has a son.

Amy Winehouse May Be Modelling for Cavalli

Since Victoria Beckham, better known as Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, has confessed her adoration of Amy Winehouse’s style, Italian designer Roberto Cavalli offered a lucrative contract to the tattooed singer which he has publicly announced.

Winehouse was invited to the designer’s luxurious Tuscan property in order to settle the agreement.

Cavalli is not bothered by the British singer’s recent setbacks, such as the headlines concerning heroin addiction. 

If the singer accepts the offer, she would be among Cavalli’s list of stars such as Victoria Beckham, Shakira, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez who have worked with him.

The Beckhams in Paris

To celebrate his 100th match playing for the national British soccer team, David Beckham and his wife dined at the restaurant Baccarat de Paris which was also the wedding reception venue of Eva Longoria and Tony Parker.

The 32-year-old soccer player has become one of 5 Brits to have worn the colours of his country for over 100 matches.

"When he walked in all the guests applauded his achievement, David was happy and smiling even though the England team lost the game to France," a staff member reported to People.
 
Earlier that evening, the extended Beckham family accompanied David to the Stade de France, where 80,000 spectators attended the event. "This is a moment which will remain in my memory forever. I’m very proud," Beckham told Le Parisien.
 
Beckham’s return to the United States is expected for tomorrow (March 29) when the Los Angeles Galaxy will play Denver.

Katie Holmes Starts Designing

Katie Holmes is on the verge of penetrating the fashion industry with her own clothing collection in collaboration with Armani, reported JustJared.

Holmes was inspired by her 23-month-old daughter Suri, and will be launching a baby clothing line in the spring of 2009.

The star is also doing a children’s clothing collection which will be launched in the fall of 2009, and a clothing and accessories line for women in the fall of 2010.

Katie Holmes for Armani will be sold in many boutiques including Saks, Barney’s and Neiman Marcus.

Victoria Beckham In Men’s Fashion

Beckham would like to go into men’s fashion and announced her plans to launch a new jeans collection, reported FemaleFirst.
 
The former Spice Girl admitted that she has a weakness for men wearing jeans and would like to design her own.
 
She is inspired by her husband, David Beckham. "I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops – exactly how you see David when he’s out in his jeans and T-shirt," explained the star.
 
She added, "Do not pull them up tight and have your bulge showing. Let it hang! I didn’t want anything too tight around the crotch. That really repulses me. It might be fashionable, but you are not going to get that from (Beckham’s line) dVb."
