A New Style for the Spice Girls

According to FemaleFirst, the designer accepted to do all of the designs for the reunion tour of the Spice Girls. Cavalli’s friend, Victoria Beckham, asked him to give the ladies a style that is a little more sophisticated than their style in the 1990s.

Cavalli told Vogue, "I have known Victoria Beckham for a long time and have always admired her style and personality. When we talked about the worldwide tour, The Return of the Spice Girls, she put forward the idea of me creating all their costumes to which I immediately agreed."

The designer created outfits for the individual personalities of Baby, Sporty, Scary, Posh and Ginger. He emphasized that they would not look anything like the costumes the women wore in the past.

Cavalli added, "At their debut, the Spice Girls generated a trend with their individual looks and now, ten years later, they have put their trust in me to get a new, unique and iconic appeal for the tour."

The Transformation of Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham is transforming from a wife and mother into her stage personna, Posh Spice, and it is causing a bit of chaos in her home, according to People magazine.

The star said, "David and the boys have been laughing at me because I’ve been wandering around the house listening to my iPod and practicing the routines."

Two of the couple’s three sons, Brooklyn, 8, and Romeo, 5, are old enough to understand how popular their mother is.  Beckham added, "My boys are so excited about the tour. They can’t wait and I’m really looking forward to them seeing me up on stage. I just hope I don’t get over-emotional when I see them!" 

The Spice Girls will make an appearance at today’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which will be televised on December 4 on CBS.

The Spice Girls are Parents Even on the Set

People reported that in their video for the song Friendship Never Ends, the Spice Girls showed their wild sides, but when the cameras were off, Gerri Halliwell stated that the attention was back to the children.

On the Spice Girls blog, Halliwell explained that the singers’ children occupy a lot of space and time on the set, and their preparation for the world tour starting December 2, is like a parent-child meeting at school.

The group has been apart for the last ten years. Halliwell stated that they have been working very hard, as though they had never split up.

She added, "The Spice Girls are now Spice Women – full, sensual and stronger through their life experiences."

Posh Spice Needs to Gain Weight

Victoria Beckham’s doctor has just ordered the singer to put on a few extra pounds before starting the world tour with the Spice Girls. The 33-year-old singer needs to put more meat into her daily menu, as well as spinach in order to be able to have the endurance required to perform on stage.

A source told the Daily Mirror, "She isn’t too happy about the plan but understands that it’s necessary if she’s to stay healthy and not burn out over the coming months."

The first concert which marks the group’s comeback, will be on December 2, in Vancouver.

Jennifer Garner Woman of the Year

According to FemaleFirst, the actress is on the cover of the magazine for the November issue which honours the most fantastic women.

The 35-year-old star, who has a 22-month-old daughter, Violet, with her husband Ben Affleck, is seen as a woman who shines. She is successful, elegant and has a happy family.

Garner will be honoured at a function at the Lincoln Center in New York on November 5. Toni Morrison, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, and golfer, Lorena Ochoa, are also women that will be honoured at this event.

Actress Abigail Breslin, 11, will also be honoured, and will be the first one to receive the award for the category, Girl of the Year.

Last June, Victoria Beckham received the title Woman of the Year, in the British issue of Glamour.

Victoria Beckham Is a Shopping Diva

It seems that store personnel are not happy with the attitude of the Spice Girl.  Beckham regularly purchases a phenomenal amount of clothing from the store, and then has the items altered to fit her perfectly.  However, the starlet then returns several of the items, which cannot be sold to other customers because of the alterations.

A source told Us Weekly magazine, "She buys so much in every department. But she demands it all be special-ordered. And then she returns tons of it and they can’t put her altered clothes on the sales floor!"

The 33 year-old singer’s waist measurement is only 58 centimetres, which is the average measurement for a seven year-old child.

Posh Spice, who will begin a reunion tour with the Spice Girls in December, wants to be fit before she takes the stage.

The Spice Girls Sing for Victoria’s Secret

FemaleFirst reported that the Spice Girls will be singing for the fashion show for Victoria’s Secret this year.

The group will be performing on November 15 at the fashion show and will then start their world tour.

The members of the group will be performing during the fashion show that has the theme "sexy little thing".
In the past Seal and Justin Timberlake have performed for this show.

Reps for Victoria’s Secret and CBS, which will be diffusing the show, will be confirming the Spice Girls show in the near future.

Tickets for the Spice Girls Very Hot

The tickets disappeared in 38 seconds for the comeback concert in London. Concert promoters added two additional dates…December 16 and December 18.  The first date is scheduled for December 15 in Arena 02.

The Spice Girls tour will be beginning their tour on December 7 after 10 years since the group split up.

More than one million fans registered to get tickets for the concert in London. There were 20 000 people selected randomly, and they accepted attending the concert by email. 

The British group sold 55 million albums around the world. In 1998, Gerri Halliwell left the group while the other four members, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham decided to continue until 2001.

Bad News for David Beckham

David Beckham went to England immediately after learning that his father, Ted Beckham had had a cardiac arrest.

The soccer player, who now plays for Los Angeles dropped everything to be by his fathers bedside.

Beckham’s rep announced, "His father has had a heart attack and is currently being treated in [the] hospital. David is flying back to be with him. He is obviously incredibly concerned and wants to be with him." 

Beckham’s father, 59, had pains in his chest Wednesday evening, and needed to be operated on to clear his arteries.  A hospital spokesperson stated that Ted Beckham was stable, but still in intensive care.

David Beckham’s wife, Victoria was in Japan for work, but also got on a plane for England when she learned the news.
