The Spice Girls Confirm Reunion News

According to FemaleFirst, the girl group’s website announced today, "Hey everybody!! We’re back!! Can you believe it!!"

The site also revealed that the Spice Girls plan to embark on a world tour, beginning on December 7 in Los Angeles.

Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell have all agreed to reunite as the Spice Girls.  According to the latest rumours, Posh, Baby, Scary, Sporty and Ginger will each be paid $20 million US for the 25-date tour.

Their former agent, Simon Fuller, is recommending that the girls not become pregnant for the next few years.

A New Perfume From Gwen Stefani

The singer and designer will enter the world of perfume with a yet-unnamed fragrance.  The scent will be part of the L.A.M.B. (Love, Angel, Music, Baby) collection for the fall.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Stefani explained, "It’s very prestigious as a designer to have a fragrance. It’s a milestone with L.A.M.B., and I don’t want L.A.M.B. to go away. The fragrance makes it feel real, like it’ll be here for a little while."

The singer added, "The whole L.A.M.B. thing is pretty greedy. I’m making it all for me. The beauty with this fragrance is that I’ll wear it and have endless bottles of it."

Stefani worked to create the perfume with cosmetics giant Coty Inc.  The company has already created fragrances for Sarah Jessica Parker, Vera Wang, David and Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

The Return of the Spice Girls

The song was written in 1999, after Gerri Halliwell quit the group.  A source told Britain’s The People, "It is a very catchy pop tune so they thought it would be great to use it now. But they have updated it, with Geri adding her vocals."

The release of the song will mark the first time that the Spice Girls have performed together since their breakup in 2000.  According to the paper, a compilation disc will be released on November 5.

The Spice Girls became an instant success with their first single Wannabe in 1996.  They went on to become the biggest girl group ever known, selling more than 53 million albums.

Victoria Beckham Named Woman of the Year

The editor of the magazine, Jo Elvin, said of the 33 year-old star, "For the past ten years, Victoria Beckham has been a figure of fascination. She has successfully re- invented herself from pop star to devoted wife and mother, to successful designer and business mogul."

Victoria told the media, "Fame has given me the tools to do what I really love. Whether its perfume, sunglasses, jeans- I enjoy all of them."

Victoria Beckham Worries About Her Weight

The wife of football star David Beckham, who is currently a size 0, plans to lose weight while she prepares to move to Los Angeles.  The former Spice Girl is nervous that her arms are too flabby.

A source told Britain’s Grazia magazine, "Victoria has always hated her saggy stomach. But now she’s become paranoid about her arms because they’re much more exposed – she thinks it’s a real sign of ageing."

David has been urging Victoria, 33, to firm her arms with exercise, instead of resorting to cosmetic surgery.  The source added, "Victoria knows exercise will take forever to work. She feels under enormous pressure to look the part when she arrives in Los Angeles as everyone will be scrutinising her."

Victoria Beckham To Be Fashion Judge

Beckham will judge clothing lines to decide who will win the prestigious River Island Gold Award.  The special event will take place at London’s Battersea Park Arena from June 3-6.

The competition will include 38 different collections, from which the top ten will be selected.  The 10 finalists will then compete for the top award of nearly forty thousand dollars worth of prizes.  The award is the biggest award in the fashion world in England.

Judges will select a winner for both men’s and women’s categories.  Last year’s event was one of the biggest ticket sellers of the year.

David Beckham Gets a Birthday Suprise

According to Britain’s ITV, the English footballer celebrated his 32nd birthday in London.

Beckham and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, celebrated with family and friends at the Cipriani restaurant.  Another former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, also attending the special evening.

In the coming weeks, David Beckham will join the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.

Is Victoria Beckham Changing Religions?

According to the Daily Mail, Beckham, 32, wants to learn more about Scientology, the religion practiced by her friends, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.  The former Spice Girl recently confirmed that she will begin studying the religion.

Beckham’s husband, David Beckham, however, does not share an interest in the religion.  A source said, "Victoria is agreeing to study about Scientology – but at the moment David is less sure."

The Beckhams Choose Their California Home

According to People magazine, the family will move in mid-July to a home that is, "modern, airy, very light and spacious with lots of windows".

A source told the magazine, "Victoria will land in L.A. on Saturday to sign the contract. She will meet with interior designers, discuss fixtures and all aspects of the house plan before flying out shortly afterwards."

"The house they’ve chosen is big but not huge," says the source. "That said, it is big enough for them as a family of five, along with additional space for family members that will visit from Britain."

The Beckhams are moving to California because David has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy.  The California soccer team paid $250 million for the former England team captain to play in the United States.
