Victoria Beckham praises David’s cameo in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword

Victoria Beckham has praised her husband David’s cameo in ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’.

The fashion designer took to social media during the premiere of the new Guy Ritchie film in London on Wednesday (05.10.17) and expressed how proud she was of the soccer player’s first speaking film role.

On Twitter, the 43-year-old star wrote: "So proud of @davidbeckham! (sic)"

David, 42, was joined on the red carpet by his 18-year-old son Brooklyn and said at the premiere: "The good thing about working with Guy is that he’s a good friend of mine. He looked after me in many different ways. I trust him.

"My role is pretty small in this and I had one or two lines. I’ve been around Guy’s movies before and it’s a great place to be. You kind of love that community feel."

Becks was joined by a number of the cast members, including Poppy Delevingne and Charlie Hunnam, who stars in the leading role in the movie.

Speaking at the premiere, Charlie, 37, said: "It was lovely working with Beckham, he did an amazing job.

"He is very quiet and humble and serious."

‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ marks David’s second appearance in a movie directed by his good friend, but is the first time he has a speaking role and the director says he was "fantastic".

Guy shared: "He was fantastic, I love old Becksy. He is a fabulous actor and real pleasure to be with."

David underwent a total transformation for his on-screen role in ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’, sitting in the make-up chair to get a huge facial scar and rotten teeth to ensure he looked the part.

Orlando Bloom had crush on Emma Bunton

Orlando Bloom had a crush on Emma Bunton when she was in the Spice Girls.

The 40-year-old actor – who is father to six-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr – is single again after recently splitting from Katy Perry and during an interview on Baby Spice’s Heart Radio Breakfast Show on Thursday morning (04.27.17) he flirted up a storm with the blonde beauty.

Orlando, 40, was on the show to promote his new film ‘Unlocked’ and he told 41-year-old Emma – who has sons Beau, nine, and Tate, five, with husband Jade Jones – that he has always had a soft spot for the ‘2 Become 1’ singer from her days in the girl group.

Whilst discussing his co-star Noomi Rapace’s CIA agent character in his action movie, he said: "The world’s about strong women today, isn’t it, of course Emma started that whole women’s movement with the Spice Girls … are you getting back to that by the way? Are those rumors true?

Emma – who was rumored to be reforming with bandmates Geri Horner and Mel B this summer – replied: "No, they’re not true I’m afraid."

Orlando cheekily added: "Aww I’d love to see you jumping around in one of those little outfits again!"

To which a flattered Emma replied: "Thanks Orlando, I could just get one on now…"

Before he interjected to reveal: "I had a crush on you, yeah I did, yeah."

Turning a shade of red on hearing his revelation, Emma asked: "Did you, was I your favorite?"

Orlando replied: "Yeah"

Emma teased: "I’m going to put an outfit on for you now! Just for you!"

Emma also took to Instagram and Twitter to tell her fans and radio listeners that Orlando was in the studio, she tweeted a meme of her, co-star Jamie Theakston and Orlando blowing a kiss, with the caption: "@orlandobloom in the house!!!! #hot"

And she followed it with a clip of Orlando’s confession, to which she captioned, "orlandobloom admits he has a crush on @EmmaBunton" with an emoji of a person with their hands in their air celebrating.

Spice Girls talent show plans scrapped

Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton have been forced to scrap plans to stage a Spice Girls talent show.

The celebrity trio had planned to give fans of the record-breaking girl group the opportunity to join them on stage as they made their much-anticipated return to the spotlight, but the plans have been blocked by former bandmates Victoria Beckham and Mel C, who reportedly feared it would "damage the Spice Girls brand".

A source explained: "While fans would have preferred to see all five on stage again, the chance to become a Spice Girl was definitely the next best thing.

"Unfortunately, that won’t be happening now. Neither Victoria nor Mel C were on board with the idea and faced with an ‘us and them’ situation, it was dropped.

"It’s a shame because it would have been one of the most sought-after prizes in reality TV show history."

Despite this, there remains a feint hope that the plan could be resurrected at some stage in the future.

The source told The Sun newspaper: "Given how unpredictable the Spice Girls reunion has been so far, there’s a chance it could be resurrected. But there has been no movement on it since last year."

Meanwhile, Mel C has spoken out against the reunion, saying the band reached their peak when they performed at the London Olympics in 2012.

She previously said: "I’d love to play huge arenas across the world, sing our brilliantly bonkers pop songs and relive our former glory.

"It is of course a very lucrative opportunity too. But we were a five-piece band. Didn’t we reach a peak with the Olympics? There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note.

"For me the absolute pinnacle of my Spice existence was being watched by a billion people around the globe belting out ‘Spice Up Your Life’ on top of a black cab at the 2012 London Olympics.

"Anything less than the full line-up just didn’t feel like we’d be doing justice to the band or the fans."

Victoria Beckham posts gushing tribute to husband David Beckham

Victoria Beckham has thanked husband David Beckham and her parents for allowing her to "follow [her] dreams".

The 43-year-old fashion designer was honoured with an OBE by Prince William at Buckingham Palace in London on Wednesday (04.19.17) and has since taken to Instagram to share a gushing post about her family’s support.

Alongside a picture of her mother, her retired soccer star spouse, herself and her father, she wrote on the photo-sharing app: "I love u @davidbeckham and my wonderful parents," she wrote on Instagram on Thursday. "Thank you for always supporting and encouraging me to follow my dreams. #OBE #BuckinghamPalace X VB. (sic)"

Shortly after, the brunette beauty’s 18-year-old son Brooklyn Beckham sent his mother a well done message.

Sharing the picture of Prince William placing a brooch on Victoria, he wrote: "AMAZING. Congrats mum. You deserve it. (sic)"

The Spice Girl – who also has Cruz, 12, Harper, five, and Romeo, 14, with David – said on the day she felt "honoured and humbled" to receive the special title.

She said: "It was an absolute pleasure to be at Buckingham Palace today. I’m proud to be British, honoured and humbled to receive my OBE from the Duke of Cambridge.

"If you dream big and work hard you can accomplish great things. I’m so happy to share this very special occasion with my parents and husband. Without their love and support, none of this would be possible."

Victoria was supported at the event by David – who received his own OBE in 2003 – whilst their son Romeo also took to Instagram to congratulate his mother on the honour.

Captioning a photo of Victoria receiving her award, he wrote: "I want to say how proud I am of my mum today as she received her OBE… She works so hard and really deserves this honour.. We love you mum x @victoriabeckham (sic)"

Victoria Beckham takes swipe at Kardashians

Victoria Beckham doesn’t think the Kardashians are "inspiring".

The 43-year-old fashion designer hopes her daughter Harper, five, will grow up to favor a natural look and modest clothing but is aware she will want to follow trends.

Asked if she will stop Harper wearing short skirts, she said: "Hopefully she’s not going to want to wear short skirts and dresses.

"When I used to want to wear short skirts and dresses, that’s how people were dressing. I’m not sure it’s the same now.

"Is it cool for young girls to wear tons of make-up these days? Surely the women that young girls look up to don’t tend to plaster themselves in make-up."

But asked about the vloggers who do contouring videos and the Kardashians, she added: "I try not to think about that as inspiring, to be honest."

And Victoria – who also has sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12, with her husband David Beckham – tries to teach her daughter there are many more important things in life than appearances.

She told Britain’s ELLE magazine: "I think it’s [about] getting the balance right, not stifling them and then ending up with a child who rebels.

"I say to her, ‘Harper, it’s not who’s the prettiest girl in the class, it’s who is the nicest and most hard-working girl in the class.’

"I don’t like her to focus too much on her appearance."

Harper has a passion for ballet and chess, but also loves to draw.

Victoria said: "It was funny, the other day Harper said, ‘I’d like you to come to my gallery opening.’

"So I went into the lounge and she had coloured lots of pictures, pulled them out of the book and laid them out on the armoire, and she wanted us to come to the ‘gallery’.

"She had made little tickets and she was selling her pieces of art. Then, later, she said, ‘I’m just going to go into the lounge and do some yoga."

Spice Girls reunion back on following Mel B’s love split

The Spice Girls reunion is back on after Mel B’s split from Stephen Belafonte.

The 41-year-old singer filed for divorce from Stephen in March, thereby opening the way for a reunion with her former bandmates Geri Horner and Emma Bunton, both of whom had reportedly resented the controlling influence of Mel’s husband.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Stephen was always an unnerving presence. Now he’s out of the way, fun will return."

And Geri – who gave birth to her second child, a son called Montague, in January – has confirmed plans are in place for the trio to reunite.

She said: "We’re not re-forming immediately, but in the near future."

Mel, Geri and Emma have already recorded new material together, with their tune ‘Song For Her’ leaking online in November.

However, Victoria Beckham – who was known as Posh Spice during her time with the group – previously revealed she doesn’t want the trio to sing old Spice Girls tracks.

Instead, Victoria has called on her former bandmates to release brand new material when they launch their comeback.

She explained: "Of course, as a new group, I do [wish them luck].

"I do think they should sing new material, though, because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad."

Meanwhile, Mel C has spoken out against the reunion, insisting the band reached their peak when they performed at the London Olympics in 2012.

She said: "I’d love to play huge arenas across the world, sing our brilliantly bonkers pop songs and relive our former glory.

"It is of course a very lucrative opportunity too. But we were a five-piece band. Didn’t we reach a peak with the Olympics? There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note.

Victoria Beckham: I don’t have many friends

Victoria Beckham doesn’t have "a lot of friends".

The 43-year-old fashion designer doesn’t have a huge circle of pals, as she has only remained in touch with a handful of her childhood friends – but Victoria never feels lonely because she is "surrounded" by people who care for her deeply.

She shared: "I am never, ever lonely. I don’t have a lot of friends, but I’m surrounded by people I genuinely like to be with."

Despite this, Victoria – who has been married to retired soccer star David Beckham since 1999 – admitted she still struggles to find time to socialize with them.

The designer, who has sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and five-year-old daughter Harper with her husband, explained it’s difficult to balance her career and family life, while still finding time for her group of close friends.

She told the new issue of ELLE magazine: "I’m very close to my sister and a friend I went to school with, and then three or four others.

"I think a true friend understands that you can’t see them as much as you might want, because they’re busy as well. Everyone I’m friends with has a career and a family."

Victoria celebrated her 43rd birthday on Monday (04.17.17) and two of her former Spice Girls bandmates, Mel C and Emma Bunton, both took to Instagram to pass on their best wishes.

Mel wrote: "Happy Birthday to my dear friend and Spicy sister! (sic)"

Meanwhile, Emma – who was known as Baby Spice during her time in the group – shared an old photograph of the two of them laughing together back stage.

She captioned the image: "Happy birthday gorgeous lady! Hope you’re getting spoilt. Have an amazing birthday week. #specialmemories (sic)"

David and Victoria Beckham trademark kids’ names

David and Victoria Beckham have trademarked their children’s names.

According to intellectual property office records, the couple have officially registered Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and Harper, five, meaning they can release their own collection of branded products including, but not limited to, electronics, golf umbrellas, washing powder, self-tan and make-up.

A source said: "They’re already among the A-list’s most enterprising dynasties. Now they’ve trademarked the children’s names, the opportunities for expanding the Beckham brand are endless."

The youngsters have already made ventures into starting their own careers, with Brooklyn undertaking a number of photography assignments and gearing up for the release of his first photo book, Romeo modelling for Burberry, Cruz launching a pop career last December and Harper designing a limited-edition T-shirt.

Meanwhile, the 42-year-old fashion designer has reportedly infuriated her former Spice Girls bandmates by using their track ‘Spice Up Your Life’ to promote her new affordable collection for US retailer Target despite snubbing negotiations for their 20th anniversary tour.

The source told Britain’s Grazia magazine: "After playing the Olympics Closing Ceremony in 2012, Victoria made it very clear she had no intention of joining any future Spice Girls reunions.

"The girls respected her decision but now feel as if she wants to have it both ways.

"She’s insisted her Posh Spice persona is in the past, only to suddenly want to embrace it in order to break the wider American market."

Last month, Brooklyn announced he was pushing back the release of his photography book, ‘What I See’, by almost two months so he could focus on his studies.

He announced on Instagram: "Happy to say my book’s now out on 29th June after exams are done! Excited to meet as many of you as I can at signings, dates and locations coming soon. 3 month countdown #whatisee – link for signed copies in bio! (sic)"

‘What I See’ is set to feature 300 pictures taken by the teenager and include some previously unseen snaps of him.

Publishers Penguin Random House said the book "offer his followers a rare glimpse at the world through his eyes".

As well as the photos, Brooklyn has also written the foreword and penned all the captions.
