What’s new on Xbox Game Pass on console, PC and mobile in early April 2023

Every month, Xbox brings new games to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

Typically, these come in waves, and now, Xbox has revealed what’s coming in the first half of April. This includes Ghostwire: Tokyo (a once-PS5 exclusive), EA Vancouver’s NHL 23 and Minecraft Legends from Mojang and Vancouver’s Blackbird Interactive.

See below for the full list:

  • Loop Hero (Console and PC) — April 4th
  • Iron Brigade (Cloud and Console) — April 6th
  • Ghostwire: Tokyo (Cloud, Console, and PC) — April 12th
  • NHL 23 (Console) — April 13th [EA Play]
  • Minecraft Legends (Cloud, Console, and PC) — April 18th

Additionally, here’s what’s leaving Xbox Game Pass on April 15th:

  • Life is Strange: True Colors (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Moonglow Bay (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Panzer Corps II (PC)
  • Rainbow Six Extraction (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Long Dark (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Riftbreaker (Cloud, Console, and PC)

An Xbox Game Pass subscription costs $11.99 CAD/month for either Console or PC, while a $16.99/month Game Pass Ultimate membership includes Game Pass for both Console and PC, Xbox Live Gold, EA Play and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offering free 3-month subs to Apple TV+, Apple Music

Xbox is offering free three-month subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Music to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

The promotion is available to worldwide Ultimate subscribers who don’t currently have a subscription to either Apple TV+ or Apple Music. The free trials are being offered as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks, which provide subscribers with free bonuses like downloadable content packs for miscellaneous games and, on occasion, trials for services like Discord Nitro and Disney+.

Last month, the starting monthly costs of Apple TV+ and Apple Music were both increased $8.99 (previously $5.99) and $10.99 (previously $9.99), respectively. Normally, Apple only offers a free seven-day Apple TV+ trial and one-month Apple Music trial. Game Pass Ultimate members can claim and activate both free trials from now until March 31st, 2023.

Apple Music offers unlimited streaming of more than 100 million songs, while Apple TV+ features a slew of original TV shows and movies, including Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, The Morning Show, Severance, CODA and the upcoming Ryan Reynolds movie, Spirited.

Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $16.99/month and includes Game Pass for console and PC, EA Play, Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

What’s new on Xbox Game Pass on console, PC and mobile in late November 2022

Every month, Xbox brings new titles to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

Normally, these come in two waves and now, the company has revealed what’s coming to Game Pass in the second half of November. Note: ‘Cloud’ refers to a game that can be streamed via Xbox Cloud Gaming to a variety of devices, including Android and iOS.

Highlights this month include the point-and-click narrative adventure Norco, third-person shooter Gungrace G.O.R.E. and strategy game Dune: Spice Wars. See below for the full list:

  • Ghostlore (Game Preview) (PC) — November 17th
  • Lapin (Cloud, Console and PC) — November 17th
  • Norco (Cloud and Console) — November 17th

As always, Game Pass subscribers can take advantage of an exclusive 20 percent discount to purchase any game on the service and keep playing even after it leaves the catalogue.

Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass for PC each cost $11.99 CAD/month, while Game Pass Ultimate, which includes both versions of Game Pass, Xbox Cloud Gaming, EA Play and Xbox Live Gold, is priced at $16.99/month.

EA’s FIFA 22 landing on EA Play on June 23

EA’s FIFA 22 is the latest game to be added to EA Play, Electronic Arts’ subscription program.

The soccer title is headed to EA Play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on June 23rd.

Additionally, since Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members get access to EA Play as part of their subscription, they’ll also be able to get their hands on FIFA 22 for free.

It’s worth noting that FIFA 22 is currently available on EA Play, but as a 10-hour trial. This will change to the full-fledged game on June 23rd. “EA Play members also get additional content in FIFA 22 including FUT Stadium Sets and Season Objectives XP Boosts in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, along with apparel and VOLTA Coins in VOLTA FOOTBALL,” reads EA’s blog post.

In other FIFA and EA-related news, the upcoming FIFA 23 will be EA’s last FIFA-licensed title. According to EA, its upcoming soccer titles would be called EA Sports FC, and would feature all the same mechanics, modes, leagues tournaments and athletes as the current FIFA titles. Xbox Series S bundle is currently down to $379.95 at Amazon

Amazon Canada currently has the Xbox Series S Digital Bundle 10 percent off its regular price.

The bundle, which includes a 512GB Xbox Series S console, digital code to avail a month’s membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for free and a $25 Xbox gift card, is currently available for $379.95, down from its original $421.95 price tag.

This ($379.95) is the same price as the standalone console, so you’re essentially getting the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate one-month pass and a $25 Xbox gift card for free.

It’s worth noting that Amazon has limited Xbox Series S inventory, and the deal might expire soon. If you’ve been waiting to pick up an Xbox Series S, act fast.
