Taylor Swift to join Peas in the Park

Country singer joins all-star roster for Black Eyed Peas’ Central Park charity concert.

Country pop star Taylor Swift will join the Black Eyed Peas at their special charity concert in New York City’s Central Park tomorrow (June 9), reports Teen Music.

"We are thrilled to have Taylor on board," said Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie. "Not only will she will be an amazing addition to our lineup, she is an incredible inspiration to people of all ages and her music gives a voice to those who feel left behind."

Swift joins other notable performers including Natasha Bedingfield, MC Hammer, Debbie Harry, LL Cool J and Carole King. Other celebrities like Zach Braff, Whoopi Goldberg and Jimmy Smits will also make appearances throughout the evening.

The Concert 4 NYC will benefit the anti-poverty group Robin Hood. Although admission is free, tickets are mandatory and have been given away by lottery. Of course, concertgoers are encouraged to make a donation to the charity, which helps to fight poverty in New York City through grants, relief funds and education initiatives.
