William Balfour, accused of murdering Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew, entered a not guilty plea to charges of first-degree murder and home invasion.
The man entered the plea yesterday (January 20) at Cook County Criminal Court in Chicago. Balfour is the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia. He stands accused of the three murders that took place last October.
Balfour is being held without bail until his next hearing on January 27.
Jennifer Hudson will be performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on February 1.
