According to Access Hollywood, Smith died on February 8 after ingesting a lethal amount of prescription medication. The young woman overdosed at the Seminol Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida.
Medical expert Joshua Perper confirmed that the death was a result of a mixture of legal medications, and no other illnesses were found in Smith’s system.
Following her death, prescription medications were found in the hotel room of the former Playboy playmate.
Anna Nicole Smith, 39, arrived in Florida on February 5 and had planned to stay in the United States for four days. Just five months before her death, Smith’s 20 year-old son, Daniel, also died of a lethal prescription drug overdose.
