The Beneficial Effects of Oil Supplements

A study shows that oil supplements can help reduce body fat.

According to a recent study, dietary oil supplements have helped reduce bad fats in certain people, reports Medline Plus.

Older women, who were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and overweight, consumed safflower oil supplements and conjugated linoleic acid supplements for equal but separate periods, and lost body fat or increased muscle tissue.

The principal investigator, Martha A. Belury, stated that the research is not intended to be used towards a miracle remedy, although the findings could prove to be beneficial.

The study was conducted on 55 obese women who were post-menopausal, had an average age of 60 and had type 2 diabetes.
