According to a report by Cyberpresse.ca, one of the components in broccoli can be beneficial to the blood vessels of diabetics, particularly those undergoing a hyperglycemic crisis.
The component, sulforaphane, has shown to be beneficial to health in several scientific studies. However, a group at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, which focused on diabetics, has proven that sulforaphane can help repair damage inflicted on blood vessels when a person experiences episodes of high blood sugar.
Other vegetables, including cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and bok choy, are also beneficial to blood vessels.
