The Cirque du Soleil on display

25 years of Cirque du Soleil costumes at the McCord Museum.

The exhibit Dream Weavers – Costumes by Cirque du Soleil is now at the McCord Museum in Montreal, located on Sherbrooke Street.

The museum’s website describes what visitors can expect to find: "The exhibition, comprised of costume components, photographs and audio and video documents, will capture the imagination of visitors as they delve into Cirque’s wondrous world. It pays tribute to the savoir-faire of the costume designers and artisans at Cirque du Soleil and provides a fascinating insight into 25 years of enchanting fabric, colour and form at the heart of the magical shows staged by Cirque du Soleil."

On top of the costumes, there will also be more than 30 accessories on display like masks, shoes, hats, wigs, etc.

The 50 capsule videos will feature the dream weavers themselves, the craftspeople who speak about their art and their passion.

The Dream Weavers – Costumes by Cirque du Soleil exhibition runs until October 11.
