Niklas Soderblom, a former lover of the actress who plays Edie Britt on the show, is launching a book in which he discusses his life with Sheridan.
According to Soderblom, Nicollette Sheridan became enraged if she didn’t appear on posters and advertisements for the television show. He added that the 44 year-old star had an enormous rivalry with the other actresses, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria. Soderblom said, "It was a competition. She was a middle-aged woman in Hollywood and deep down I am sure she sees Desperate Housewives as her last big break.
She was devastated when the posters for the show showed the other four women, but not her. She started crying. She said she was sure the producers intended to ditch her character."
For Sheridan, it was a feeling that her co-stars were more important. She told her former fiance, "It’s like I don’t exist."
