The Euro NCAP Results

Euro NCAP, the organisation that assesses the safety of new cars, released results for several new models yesterday (August 26).

Euro NCAP rates cars based on four categories: adult protection, child occupant protection, pedestrian protection, and safety assistance.

Of the eight vehicles tested, only the Citroen C3 failed to earn all five stars possible.  The reason for the missed star was that the car does not offer the Electronic Stability Control system (ESC) as a standard.  In contrast, the ESC system is equipped as a standard feature in the other cars.

The Honda Insight Hybrid, the Kia Sorento, the Renault Grand Scenic, the Skoda Yeti, the Subaru Legacy, the Toyota Prius and the Volkswagen Polo were each given 5 stars by the Euro NCAP.
