The exile is over… he’s back

Kanye West will make his first television appearance since the incident.

He made a spectacle of himself last year when he interrupted the acceptance speech being given by singer Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Awards. He was chastised by everyone and even President Barack Obama had some choice words for the rapper. He slinked out of the spotlight in disgrace.

Now, a year later, he is preparing a return to the public eye with a performance at the BET Awards on June 27.

West is currently working on his next album. He has only made a few select public appearances since the unfortunate incident. To his credit, he did apologize.

He made a surprise appearance at a New York nightclub in May to play a few songs from his next album, Good Ass Job. Earlier this week he paid a visit to three schools in Chicago as part of an annual event organized by his Stay In School foundation.

The rapper has not yet announced a release date for his next album. He did release its first single online last week. The song Power appears to be Kanye West’s attempt to settle some scores and repair his bruised ego. He expresses particular, shall we say, annoyance with how Saturday Night Live treated him in sketches it presented after his shameful incident.
