The Farrelly Brothers Bring Back the Stooges

Bobby and Peter Farrelly are going to bring back The Three Stooges to the big screen.

Currently being called "Untitled Three Stooges Project," the project was approved by MGM, who wants the Farrelly brothers to spawn the return of Larry, Moe and Curly.

The Farrelly brothers have been working on this project since the mid-90s. They hope to get a new generation hooked on the Stooges. The famous funny trio, who got their start with MGM, first appeared on American movie screens in 1933.

The Farrelly brothers were behind the comedies Shallow Hal, Stuck on You and There’s Something About Mary. They also directed Walter the Farting Dog starring the Jonas Brothers.

The new Three Stooges are expected to return to the silver screen on November 20, 2009.
