During a press conference for the release of his movie, The Heartbreak Kid, Peter Farrelly told Comingsoon.net, "It’s one of those things that’s just been tricky. The studios all feel like women won’t go see it. I don’t agree. ‘Dumb and Dumber’ wasn’t a chick flick, but eventually women got in there. Also, they don’t think it’s going to be big overseas because no one knows of it, but again, nobody knew about ‘Dumb and Dumber.’ We are going to do it eventually."
The Three Stooges was a very popular comedy in the United States between 1934 to 1958.
In the meantime, the Farrelly Brothers will be releasing The Heartbreak Kid on October 5, starring Ben Stiller.
