Universal Pictures has announced that Justin Lin (Better Luck Tomorrow) will direct the third installment action film.
In this entry, the action will take place in Japan. Production is set to begin in the fall.
The two previous films generated more than 450 million dollars at box offices world wide. Additionally, DVD sales have totalled $20 million.
A release date for the film is not yet known.
