The Jackson Trial: A First Witness

It was his documentary, Living With Michael Jackson, shown on television in February, 2003, the prompted the investigation of the relationship of the singer and the young boy.

In the documentary, we see the singer holding hands with his now accuser.  The star also stated that he sometimes sleeps in the same bed with children at his Neverland Ranch.

The jurors watched the documentary which was filmed in 2002, by the request of the plaintiff’s attorneys.  While watching the film, Jackson wiped his eyes with a tissue when seeing footage of him telling of his love for children.

Afterwards, Jackson’s lawyer, Thomas Mesereau Jr. tried to find out how many hours of film were shot to create the documentary.  The journalist used his First Amendment rights to avoid answering any questions.  Bashir refused to answer questions nearly 30 times.

The singer seemed to be agitated when the journalist was on the stand.

Jackson, 46, has plead not-guilty to accusations that he sexually molested a minor.  The trial for the star is expected to last several more months.
