The Killers axe some shows

The Killers annouce they are cancelling some Australian stops on their world tour.

The Killers cancelled some of their live shows in Australia. Singer Brandon Flowers says they "had hoped that the Australian leg of their current world tour would be completed as planned, but due to the severity of the illness of a close family member, they regretfully announce the cancellation of their Sydney Enmore show as well as their shows at Good Vibrations Festival."

Some are wondering if this world tour will be their last. Separation rumours have been swirling and sounds of bickering within the group are getting louder.

Brandon Flowers practices the Mormon religion which is quite strict and not very compatible with the life of international rock stars. This could be causing friction within the group as well as reports that Flowers is considering a solo career.

The group does promise to honour its concert dates at the Gold Coast and Melbourne Good Vibration festival shows on February 20 and February 21 respectively.

Flowers adds, "The band apologises to their Australian fans and asks for their understanding."
