The Killers Plan To Release Cover Album

The Killers are planning to release a cover album before the end of the year.

Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vanucci of The Killers are planning an entire album of cover songs that will be available before the end of the 2009, reports NME.com.

In talking about the project, the two musicians said the band is currently deciding which songs to include on the album, and offered some hints as to which artists they are considering.

Flowers said, "It’s something that we’ve always talked about doing and we’re still talking about. It’s difficult for each of us to pick songs that represent us as individuals. I mean, I have a lot of personalities myself! I’ve gone through everything from Neil Diamond to The Cars."

Vanucci’s favourite picks include Genesis, Tom Waits, Cyndi Lauper and Iggy Pop. The drummer added that the group is currently working on the album while on tour.
