The Killers to launch annual Christmas song

Every year since 2006, The Killers send holiday greetings with a Christmas song.

For the fifth consecutive year, Las Vegas band, The Killers, will launch a Christmas single to coincide with the World AIDS Day on December 1, reports Clash Music.

This year was a little different since the band had to come back into the studio from hiatus for their annual project. Earlier in the year, lead singer Brandon Flowers launched his solo album, Flamingo, which shot to number one in the UK just a few days after its September release.

In the past the band had invited guests, like Elton John, to contribution to the annual holiday single. This year, there is a brief notice on the band’s website, “Get ready – Boots will be out on Tuesday November 30 in North America,” advising they would post more information as it becomes available.

Killers’ fans are excited to see the holiday tradition continued since it helps to quiet rumours about the possible dissolution of the group, who appeared exhausted at the end of their chaotic last tour.
