The Mercedes SLS AMG in Gran Turismo

Are you a Playstation 3 owner who also digs the latest supercars? Rejoice, because the best of both worlds are about to be combined.

In 1997, Gran Turismo was first released for the Sony Playstation. Revolutionary in both graphics and its prevalence in the game world, it risks becoming the ultimate racing simulation game as well as PS3’s best seller.

12 years and 3 editions later, Gran Turismo continues to carry the torch in this sector of gaming. Furthermore, creators of the video game have been known for being an integral part of designing the dashboard for Nissan’s real-life GT-R.

The fifth instalment, which is slated for the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, will be the first to incorporate realistic car damage, such as losing a wing off the Mercedes SLS AMG, and mishaps, such as brake failure.

In addition, there is talk that there will be 1 000 vehicles available in Gran Turismo.
