FemaleFirst reported that according to a poll completed by 1000 women, ages 13 and over, Witherspoon was named the most-loved female celebrity.
The survey respondents needed to vote on the female stars that were the most appealing, glamorous, confident, interesting and over-exposed in 2007.
Witherspoon had 74 per cent of the votes, followed by Jennifer Aniston, who had an appeal rating of 70 per cent. Angelina Jolie was in third position with 53 per cent of the votes, followed by Jennifer Lopez at 52 per cent. Tom Cruise’s wife, Katie Holmes, made the top five with 32 per cent of the votes.
Britney Spears had 11 per cent of the votes and Paris Hilton was in last place at 9 per cent. However, in terms of exposure, Hilton was at the top, with 75 per cent of the votes, followed by Spears at 68 per cent.
