Forbes magazine compared Hollywood actors’ salaries to their respective film earnings at the box office.
This year, Nicole Kidman received the top honour, based on her film projects that earned $1 for ever dollar the Australian actress was paid.
Her ex-hubby Tom Cruise ranked in third position for his flop with Lions for Lambs. The ratio of dollars the film industry made to his salary was $4 to $1.
Surprisingly, Cameron Diaz, Hollywood’s best-paid actress with a $50 million annual salary, has not managed to bring her fans into the theatres. She has the same 4:1 payout ratio as Tom Cruise, and her films tend to make $200 million.
