Not too many surprises have been anticipated for the North American version of the Mitsubishi Outlander, judging from the already marketed versions in Australia and Asia.
We find the famous "jet fighter" front grille, which was unveiled on the Mitsubishi Lancer. Aesthetically, we note that the bumpers, headlights and bonnet have undergone some changes.
The Australian version is offered with the option of a 4-cylinder 2.4-litre engine with 186 horsepower or a 3-litre V6 with 227 horsepower. The 4-cylinder can be operated through a 5-speed manual transmission, while the V6 is paired with a 6-speed automatic with sequential control.
It is still unknown which particular features of the North American version will differ from the Australian one, although the official Mitsubishi site has announced that the Outlander will be available in November 2009.
