According to the Latino Review, two Spider-Man films are in the works. While Spider-Man 4 and 5 are being written, it is yet unknown if Tobey Maguire will resume his role as Peter Parker. Maguire’s on-screen partner, Kirsten Dunst, has also not confirmed her participation.
Two names that have popped up as far as taking on the role as the famous superhero are actors Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous) and Michael Angarano (Seabiscuit).
The suspense films’ distribution is expected to be announced soon, and Spider-Man 4 may be coming to theatres in 2009.
Tobey Maguire fans can catch him in Brothers, opening on December 4.
