Kamala Harris has chosen her running mate for the presidential election.
It is Tim Walz, governor of the state of Minnesota, CNN reports.
It’s a choice that’s as judicious as it is cautious, since several potentially explosive elements surrounded the other finalist, Josh Shapiro, another excellent potential choice, however, and a rising star within the Democratic party.
The Democratic ticket is therefore complete for the election, and Kamala Harris is now well poised to take on Donald Trump and his own running mate, JD Vance.
An event is planned for Harris and her new VP in Pennsylvania, as the two are due to speak publicly for the first time as official candidates for the US presidency and vice-presidency.
