The film Les Triplettes de Belleville, by Paul Cadieux took the prize for best film of the year.
The prize for best male actor in a leading role went to Roy Dupuis for his performance in Mémoires Affectives, and Pascale Bussières took the prize for best actress in a lead role for Ma Vie en Cinémascope.
Jean Lapointe was also recognized for his performance in Le Dernier Tunnel, earning the title for best supporting actor. Jennifer Jason Leigh was given the best supporting actress award.
Mémoires Affectives continued its success with Francis Leclerc taking awards for best director and best screenplay.
The gala was hosted by Andrea Martin at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
