The Jackson family released yesterday (July 6) a list of the stars who will be on stage today at the Staples Center to pay their final respects to Michael Jackson.
Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Brooke Shields, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Andrae Crouch Choir, Berry Gordy, Shaheen Jafargholi of Britain’s Got Talent, Martin Luther King III, Bernice A. King, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson and the Reverand Al Sharpton will be there.
The dancers who would have been in his London show will also give a performance in his memory.
People reports also that Beyonce Knowles and Whitney Houston will be present at the event, but will not perform on stage.
Elizabeth Taylor and Debbie Rowe, the mother of Jackson’s two oldest children, refused to participate in the public funeral preferring to grieve in private.
The Jackson family will have a private funeral at Forest Lawn Memorial in the morning before coming to the Staples Center.
