New York group The Strokes is in studio working on a fourth offering. They released their debut album and surprise hit, Is This It?, in 2001.
The album Is This It? was at the top of every list in 2010 while many music world sites and publications call it first class. The British magazine NME called it the best album of the decade, while Rolling Stone placed it number two.
The group has been on a break since 2005 when they released First Impressions Of Earth. Frontman Julian Casablancas recently released his first solo album. He is the son of John Casablancas, founder of Elite Modelling Agency. His mother is a former Miss Denmark.
The new album is being produced by Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli.
