This iconic MTL Archambault will close its doors and put 34 employees out of work

Next June, the Archambault store at the corner of Berri and Sainte-Catherine will close its doors, a news that employees learned today (January 27), reports La Presse.

Groupe Archambault would no longer be able to ignore the transformation of commercial options near Place Émilie-Gamelin, thus pushing the management not to renew the lease, which will end in June 2023.

Consumer habits, which have evolved considerably over the past few years, seem to be another factor.

This means that 34 employees will be out of work, but they will be able to apply for vacant positions among the 14 establishments still open, according to the same source.
