According to AFP, several thousands are expected to attend the funeral of the late business mogul, who died last Saturday at the age of 79 in the Breton town of La Gacilly in Morbihan, where he founded his cosmetics enterprise.
Auguste Coudray, the director of public relations for the Rocher brand, reported that between 6 000 to 8 000 are planning to attend.
Industry Minister Christian Estrosi will be present, along with several local officials in the small village where Rocher served as mayor from 1962 to 2008.
The ceremony will take place at 10:00am for family and close friends and will be telecast on giant screens outside in front of the church, among other places in the small town that is less than 90 km southwest of Rennes.
There will be controlled access and several parking lots, from where it will be possible to walk to the downtown.
One of Yves Rocher’s grandsons, Bris Rocher, 31, will assume the role of president of the beauty products corporation. He has served as vice president of the company since 2003.
