Page, Cotillard and Murphy are currently in talks with Warner Bros. to star in the upcoming film.
They could be joining Leonardo DiCaprio, who already signed on to the cast.
The film will be written and directed by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight).
Details on the story have been kept secret. Warner described the film as being a contemporary science fiction flick.
Production is set to begin in the summer and the film is expected to open on July 16, 2010.
In the meantime, Ellen Page will star a dramatic comedy this year called Whip It!, directed by Drew Barrymore. She will also appear in the thriller Peacock, in which she shares the screen with Cillian Murphy. Both films do not yet have an opening date.
For Marion Cotillard, she will star opposite Johnny Depp and Christian Bale in the highly-awaited Public Enemies, in theatres on July 1.
