Variety reports that actress Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton) will star in the political thriller The Ghost, under the direction of Roman Polanski.
The adaptation of the Robert Harris novel puts Pierce Brosnan in the role of a former British Prime Minister. Nicolas Cage will play an anonymous writer who finds himself in danger after he discovers political secrets. Swinton will play the wife of a politician who falls for the writer when her marriage crumbles.
Filming begins in Europe in September.
In the meantime, Tilda Swinton will share the screen with Brad Pitt and George Clooney in Burn After Reading. The Coen brothers’ film opens in theatres on September 12.
