Tilda Swinton’s fashion friends

Tilda Swinton feels ”fortunate” to have people who want to dress her.

The ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’ star – who is renowned for her love of eccentric designer clothes – admits she does not put too much thought into her red carpet outfits and is thankful she has ”friends” who help her out with what to wear.

She said: ”For me, it’s just a matter of having a box cutter to open the dress box.

”I turn up in a pair of old corduroy trousers and I’m very fortunate to have friends who send me boxes with gowns. It’s like the Cinderella complex. It’s the friends that make the effort, not me.”

However, Tilda – who has previously been a muse for Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf – admits she occasionally has to plan in advance what she is going to be wearing at any given event.

She added to People.com: ”There is a little effort that goes into the planning, like, weeks ago.”
