Tinie Tempah inspired by Chris Martin

Tinie Tempah says his forthcoming second album ‘Demonstration’ is inspired by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and features a lot of "anthemic" tracks.

Tinie Tempah’s next album is inspired by Chris Martin.

The ‘Pass Out’ hitmaker is a huge Coldplay fan and says his forthcoming second record ‘Demonstration’ is much more "progressive" and "anthemic" than his 2010 debut ‘Disc-Overy’.

He said: "Chris Martin has been quite an influence on this album.

"It’s definitely a lot more progressive in the quality of the sound. I’ve been listening to Lykke Li and Lana Del Rey, songs like, ‘Love Out Of Lust’ and ‘Dark Paradise’, the dynamics of the sound, how big and anthemic it gets."

One of the tracks Tinie is particularly excited about on his new album is called ‘DO To The OD’ and he plans to perform it at his UK festival appearances this summer, which include the Isle of Wight, T in the Park, Global Gathering and V festivals.

Asked what he will play this summer, he told NME magazine: "There’s one called ‘DO To The OD’ that kind of has the same qualities as ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Frisky’. It’s a real gritty vocal and quite explicit as well."

‘Demonstration’ is scheduled for release in October.
