Title of new Coldplay album revealed?

Performing Rights Society database may hold name of forthcoming album.

An ardent and very thorough Coldplay fan may well have uncovered the title of the band’s newest album online in the database of the Performing Rights Society, according to spinner.ca.

"I’m a member of PRS and (as a member) you can search their online database of registered songs," the fan wrote online on a Coldplay forum.

"I typed in Chris Martin and looked at all the newly registered work under ‘Christopher Anthony John Martin’ and a song called Mylo Xyloto was registered on 6th July 2011!”

"The writers registered for the song are all of Coldplay and Brian Eno. Wither [sic] they actually call the album Mylo Xyloto or not, that might be the lead single…"

The database apparently also divulged that frontman Chris Martin will get 38 percent of royalties while other members will see just 19 percent. Producer Brian Eno will reportedly earn 4.25 percent for his contribution.

No official date has been given for the release of the new album, but many have speculated it will drop near the end of October. If so, the band will almost certainly battle for chart positions with Noel Gallagher’s first solo album, due October 17.
