During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2005, the 45-year-old actor couldn’t hide his emotions when he jumped on Oprah’s couch exclaiming his love for Katie Holmes.
When he was asked to comment on his behaviour, he could not explain what overcame him.
Winfrey had asked the Mission: Impossible star personal questions about his religion, Scientology. Cruise defended all the negative publicity andadded that he was misquoted and misunderstood.
The actor also thinks that his nerves during the interview forced him to say things that were beyond him, and were often misinterpreted by the media.
