Cruise is seriously considering joining the cast of Wichita, a film directed by James Mangold for 20th Century Fox, also starring Cameron Diaz. The actors were former co-stars in the 2001 movie, Vanilla Sky.
Diaz and Cruise approved the latest version of the screenplay, and Variety revealed that their deals are in advanced negotiations.
Cruise will play a secret agent that comes and goes in the life of a single woman played by Diaz. Fox is expecting to release the film in the summer of 2010.
Katie Holmes’ husband will be very busy this year, as he has many projects in the works, including The Tourist with Charlize Theron and The Maltarese Circle with Denzel Washington.
