Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed that Tom Hanks and Tim Allen have signed on for the live action movie Jungle Cruise inspired the famous theme park riverboat ride, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Hanks and Allen are regulars at the studio, each having respectively lent their voices to Woody and Buzz Lightyear in the trilogy of smash-hit animated Pixar Toy Story films.

Inspired by the movie The African Queen, Jungle Cruise is one of 22 rides in existence since the opening of the famous theme park in 1955. The attraction simulates a riverboat cruise down a major tropical river. Park guests board replica tramp steamers and are taken on a voyage past different animatronic jungle animals, while a Disney cast member delivers a humorous scripted narration.

Planned as a big action-adventure film, Hanks will likely play the role of a family guy while Allen would play the tour boat captain.

The lucrative Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise was also inspired by a Disney amusement park ride. Disney also has two other film projects based on its attractions: Magic Kingdom, directed by Jon Favreau, and Haunted Mansion, to be directed by Guillermo Del Toro.

Recently, Tom Hanks co-starred again with Julia Roberts in Larry Crowne due out July 1; they starred opposite each other in 2007’s Charlie Wilson’s War. Tim Allen stars in the comedy Geezers, which hits theaters November 10.
